This was our first and will be our last visit. The Hotel is in a very pleasant and peaceful location but is trying to be something it is not. We had a well prepared two course dinner which was courteously served but was exorbitantly priced. We could have enjoyed a better meal at half the price at the nearby Two... More

Two years after we took a chance on a turning and found this lovely house, it is still a wonderful place to take our two working cocker spaniels, have excellent food in front of a fantastic view, then sink into a comfy sofa with a book, a coffee (eventually) and one of Prince Hall's gorgeous desserts. This time we arrived... More

We unfortunately spent just one night here, surrounded by the moor, chattering house martins feeding their young, the occasional pony on the lawn. Our room was very comfortable, king size bed with crisp cotton to snuggle down into. The food was quite a surprise, well above expectations, politely and confidently served, a real treat eating such delicious fare overlooking a... More

Found by accident! Popped in for tea, good choice of teas and biscuits. Fantastic history. So glad it has been saved and renovated. Would love to stay here one day, dog friendly and full of old world charm, just like staying in someone's home. Menu looked very good as well. Well done.

This was our second relaxing three-night stay at the friendly Prince Hall Hotel. Our room was lovely, light with a comfortable bed, plenty of space and a lovely view of the Moor. The Lounge and Bar areas are very comfortable. The Owners have two friendly dogs and it is a dog-friendly hotel. It is in a quiet area of Dartmoor... More

Having driven past the entrance to the drive to this hotel many, many times, but without visiting, and both of us feeling in need of something to drink, we stopped by, and was impressed by the grand entrance. The drive is tree lined, and the location is superb! No impression can be had of what awaits from the main road... More

Lovely neo boutique hotel, nice food and so dog friendly - better not go if you are not into dogs! The building is pretty, the whole place is small in great grounds and so far off the track, radar and methods of finding it - even though we were already booked - we found it only by accident! Worth persevering.... More

My black labrador and I spent last Saturday night at the Prince Hall Hotel and both of us found it to be a very warm and comfortable hotel. Every staff member was first class and it felt like we'd arrived in their home as opposed to a hotel. The hotel is located in an oil painting which captures the rugged... More

We booked a room exceptionally last minute and were delighted to hear the Shepherd's Hut was available, which has been on our "to do" list for some time. The staff were friendly throughout our stay and the food, in particular the venison, was absolutely beautiful. In a great location for walkers, we were able to take a 4 hour morning... More

Looking for a chilled glass of white wine after a mornings riding we came upon this amazing hotel who welcomed us royally although we looked somewhat dishevelled!! I had already booked there for dinner and returned in the evening looking slightly more respectable and had a great meal-def go there!
