We've driven past this place a couple of times when out exploring Dartmoor. The location is stunning, right on the river with yes - 2 bridges. A family of geese and a troup of morris dancers finish off the classic countryside scene. We had a craving for cream tea and decided to stop here. £8.00 per person is a bit... More

Enjoyed lunch with friends in this lovely old hotel. Furnishings and antique clocks to fascinate all tastes. Tasty and well presented lunch after a walk to Wistmans Wood - a tiny remaining piece of old Dartmoor forest.

I know that I have posted a review before about this Hotel but what can I say? It is a gem, especially when they recognize your name and entering the lobby the welcome is warm and always the question "how is the dog"? We got an lovely room, enough space for the dog. As we have a dog we can... More

Found this place by chance while sightseeing on Dartmoor, sat in the beautiful gardens for a cream tea which was fantastic and the gardens so pretty and relaxing even had a family of geese wandering around. A wonderful find.

Our second stay here, lovely room with very comfortable four poster bed. The food is to die for, the Dartmoor oxtail starter was a particular favourite, and unlike some hotels the standard of food at breakfast was excellent. The staff are superb, nothing is too much trouble. All the staff were great but I must say a special thank you... More

Images of rooms on website augured well for our weekend break here. Slightly disappointed on arrival to see the Country Room rather different from the website, which we learned shows the Suites. We should have studied the site more carefully. Room was OK, if rather small. Why so many cushions taking up valuable space? Joy of this place is in... More

After a lapse of many years went for lunch on Sunday 13th which wasn't good at all. The meal was tasteless, almost as though the meat and vegetables had been cooked the day before and reheated. We both had the roast - beef and lamb- which except for a small slice went into a doggy bag which ours dogs thought marvellous.... More

I am,so pleased that you returned to the Two Bridges, unfortunately the meal was not to our normal standard and we are looking into the quality of the meats that we buy, as these are cooked fresh to order. I hope that you are able to give us another change, should you wish to do so, please contact me direct.... More
