Really cosy place, logs burning in the inglenook fireplace, large sofas, could have happily stayed there all day.The staff were very friendly, and best of all didn't rush us to take our order,we were left to choose from the menu, and what a choice we had. The food was amazing,I had the Crayfish and Prawn salad...delicious. I will be booking again on my next trip... More

Pre-booked afternoon tea so surprised to be told to order at the bar. The cake stand looked good but the sandwiches and cakes were really not very nice. The scones were large and tasted nice but crumbled badly. None of the sandwiches or cakes tasted that good. One cake had a strange topping rather like cold custard - it would... More

Lovely lunch, lovely surroundings, lovely and pleasant staff. Would recommend their take on ham, egg and chips. Both desserts excellent. Hotel very busy but service quick and efficient. This is not our first visit here and have never had any complaints.

Had high expectations of cream tea at this hotel...how wrong we were. Had reserved a table, non available. A chaotic scramble with a very curt, unwelcoming & rude waitress trying to move already seated customers from a table, claiming that people move the reservation signs. Eventually seated after much moaning & a litany of ridiculous excuses. The cream tea arrived & looked as... More

well we were 31 years ago!!. So on a trip to Devon we decided to re visit one of our favorite old haunts and were delighted to find it almost unchanged. Warm with a glowing log fire, charming staff and a reasonable lunch menu, price range from around the £5 mark to £20 per dish. Easy free parking, spotless interior and the large... More

Poor service from the start. We arrived on time and were left standing for 15 mins having been told our table was being cleared. We were then told actually the one being cleared wasn't ours, but one which had people sat at it. No apologies were made which would have gone a long way, we were just made to feel... More

Perched in a quaint valley in the Dartmoor National Park, this is a great pub-B&B which oozes honest English charm and a friendly welcome. The room was classically appointed with a four poster bed and period trimmings. The in-house restaurant was good value and quality – friendly service and honest food.

Wanted to find the Wild Woods so booked the 2 Bridges for a night as it's close by. So glad I did, beautifully warm, log fires blazing, very relaxed atmosphere, dogs welcome and provided for, as are muddy boots, dinner and breakfast superb as was the service, comfy beds with tea/coffee in the room - always a must for me!... We stayed for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and had a wonderful time. The hotel looked beautifully festive and welcoming and our room was delightful if a little hot. Our seven course dinner on NYE was outstanding, as was the dinner on New Year's Day. The breakfasts were delicious and I just loved the Hog's Pudding! We were... More
