Just returned from a birthday party and second visit to this relaxing and leisurely hotel. Everything about the place is spot out. It's location nestling in a little valley by the river Dart surrouned by open Moorland is incomparable. The open fires and big comfy sofas that await inside are just what one wants. The staff and welcoming and friendly... more

We have stayed at the Two bridges several times over the past few years and have always found it to be the perfect getaway, ideal for rest and relaxation. However, since the Two Bridges have started catering for weddings it has gone down in our estimation. We stayed there on Friday and Saturday night, 23rd and 24th October. Friday was... more

Booked in for 2 night weekend stay (Sat & Sun nights) there was a rowdy wedding reception which took over the whole of the hotel. Couldn't get any refreshments on arrival. Wedding guests 'took over' the lounge area which was supposed to be reserved for 'ordinary' (i.e. non wedding party) guests, despite complaints to the staff, nothing was done to... more

We recently stayed at the hotel.we were a little dubious and not really expecting anything other than average. We arrived fairly late and were met by a very friendly and helpful lady on reception who explained everything and showed us to our room. The room was old fashioned ,in keeping with the hotel but clean. We freshened up and went down for dinner.After... more

Booked one night (special mid week offer) at Two Bridges Hotel on Dartmoor to break our journey to Cornwall. It proved to be the perfect place to stay! I picked it because it is right on the West Dart River (my husband loves fishing) and being right in the middle of the moor, plenty of walking. It is the perfect... more

I found this little gem by entering 'Dartmoor Hotels' on google search engine. I booked via the telephone reservation line as the online reservation did not work. Glad I did as I was offered a special lesuire break for two nights accommodation with breakfast and dinner ! It seemed like quite a good offer in the current climate. On arrival... more

Saw the sign morning coffee on our way across Dartmoor. One member of our party asked if she could have a half of lager and the receptionist said not to non residents and anyway it was too early! The massive fireplace had two minute logs on it, taking up about 10% of the fireplace. It was very cold and unwelcoming.... more

The Hotel is situated near Princetown in the middle of Darmoor National Park in Devon. Our room was not ready on arrival but the receptionist offered us a cup of tea in front of the log fires in the lounge and mentioned the scones had just come out of the oven, so we could not resist, served with clotted cream... more

I stayed at Two Bridges when my sister had a wedding there. I agree with the previous review earlier - it's a great place for a wedding - the service is fantastic, the setting beautiful and the food great. Definitely don't let the poorer reviews here put you off if you are considering it for your big day. The bridal/honeymoon... more
