We stayed at the B&B for one night, as we had a wedding nearby. the room was spacious, clean and comfy. Staff are really pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was really yummy too! Good value for money.

We camped in the back field, absolute bargain! Decent showers and toilet block. Inside the pub it was very clean and the staff were probably the most polite barmaids/man I have ever come across. Good beer and the breakfast is an absolute must have ( bargain at a £5). Fresh and good quality food. Will definitely be returning, hopefully with... More

Stayed in B&B on a flying visit. Room very comfortable for the price. Good selection of drinks and biscuits on welcome tray. Highlight probably mighty breakfast that would set you up for any walk on the moor. Campsite and bunkhouse mean most accommodation needs will be met here. Good range of ales (try local Jail Ale) in pub and decent... More

We popped in for dinner on Monday night, we got there a bit late at 19.40 ordered a mixed grill and some chews for the dog? My wife had eaten prior so just the one meal required. A party of eight ordered before me a party of eleven American ladies afterwards, they loved the quaint English pub bit! The first... More

My son and I stayed here again while walking on Dartmoor; as usual, the bunkhouse was perfectly adequate for the purpose, and much better than many that I have been in. The food (we only had dinners) were excellent and very good value and the place still retains a strong sense of individuality and character.

We hadn't planned on staying here but didn't get to our booked destination in Street which we learned was just as well - very welcoming, we shared a dorm and there were separate shower facilities for women and men - shower had hot water but not much pressure but that's okay. Kitchen faculties also but a bit 'old' Nevertheless the... More

This was a strange experience after booking in we were marched down the road to our accommodation which was in a separate block. The bedroom was large and you could have slept a family, it was clean and warm as it needed to be on a very cold May day. We went back to the plume for our evening meal which... More

After a day on Dartmoor, my husband and I called in here for something to eat. It was around 3pm, but pleasingly they were still doing food. My husband ordered a pulled pork burger, which was extremely tasty and filling. I ordered the chicken with orange sauce and potato mash, which again was really tasty. The potatoes were roughly mashed-... More

We called into the Plume of Feathers unexpectedly on Sunday and, although most of the tables were reserved, the very pleasant man behind the bar pointed out two tables that were free so we grabbed one quick! He mentioned that they would be doing a carvery at 12noon so we ordered drinks and sat down. Five minutes later a young... More

Spent the night here camping after a long walk on the moor. Very basic campsite. Toilets are very clean. Didn't eat in the pub so can't comment on the food. Will camp here again. The pub has a playground which is great for the kids. Ideal after a walk on the moor
