We stayed here on a bed and breakfast basis but also had our evening meals here. I could not fault it. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, the atmosphere in the pub was great with a good choice of beers on offer, the staff were very attentive to our needs and the food was top notch. what more could you want... Simply one of England's great destination pubs... Someone said it was dirty!! Oh my gosh... No! It's a lovely welcoming, good food, great atmosphere pub in one the most magifocent locations in inland Devon - high on the special at hills of rugged naturally stunning Dartmoor. Worth a visit, the food was fabulous, ambience and staff great and yes it's... More

after reading some of the previous reviews we were abit apprehensive about staying there, however with only 24 hrs to book a room we took the plunge!! we were attending a wedding at the nearby two bridges hotel. The staff couldnt ahv been more helpful, the chap who was behind the bar was very pleasant and was more than helpful... More

I was unsure about staying here because of some other reviews. I took a chance and booked a 1 night stay during a 2 day walk on Dartmoor in very cold weather. I'm glad I did. It was excellent. I had a single room which was immaculate (and very warm). There was a log fire in the bar and an... More

Horrible old cow at the bar. Brought our mood right down. If we we had not been cold and hungry I would have told her where to insert her contempt and attitude. Fish and chips was average and about £7 overpriced. The toilets are filthy and in need of attention. I'm guessing that the owners are having finacial problems and... More

I will get to the point quickly; the prices listed on the website and the prices you are billed when you get there do not correlate, and there was no room for negotiation, just “the website hasn’t been updated yet, you should have asked”, insulating it was a night on the moor if we chose not too pay the 'new’... The Plume of Feathers is a really great pub and B & B in Princetown, Devon. You are guaranteed a very warm, friendly welcome not just from the staff, but also from the regulars. There is a good selection of beers, spirits and soft drinks and a varied menu of meals that are all cooked to order. For those staying... More

We were staying in a hotel in Newton Abbot and since it had snowed decided to take a trip onto the moors and on to Princetown. There was no snow in Exeter so it seemed that everyone from near and far had decided to go to the moors for sledging, sking, and walking as there were cars everywhere, and all... More

Had lunch today, service was friendly. Menu was average, looked like the contents could do with some updating and imagination would have been nice to see more local produce. Food was a little slow considering how many people were in at the time we ordered. It looked average and tasted average. Ladies toilets were clean but had to change my... More
