After a long bike ride we had a perfect quick lunch. Lasagne and beef sandwich both excellent and the friendly welcome was much appreciated. Dog friendly and the rest of the menu looked lovely. The bar and dining is plain and simple but that is perfect in our book and just right for anyone oudoorsey.

We initially booked in for one night, last week, to use the Plume as a base for a couple of days walking, but after a hugely warm welcome from Harley (from Befnal Green!) and Brontie (Sorry if misspelt(!)) behind the bar and some top quality banter, we had no hesitation in booking an additional night. After an exceptional evening meal,... More

I visited on Friday 12th September. This is a great pub, with ales, atmosphere and a dartboard! I was part of a group lads, visiting to do a bit of biking and walking, and we found the food really quite decent especially the evening meals! We stayed upstairs in the dorms, and these are pretty dire! All the windows are... More

Cannot praise this place enough. Warm welcoming staff, very dog friendly, friendly locals. The menu is perfect pub grub. They aren't trying to be a restaurant and everything is home cooked...and it is wonderful. The pies are wonderful (steak and ale particularly), portions are hearty, the liver and bacon is the best we've had anywhere..ever. The pork belly superb. Best... More

We didn't sleep here. This review is about our lunch after a morning's hike. The indoor pub looked charming and comfortable but the weather was fine enough to sit in the courtyard about back (picnic tables and a cement courtyard but a nice view) Service was friendly, the beer was fine. The real find was the meat pies. We thought... More

Stayed at the campsite with a group of international students doing navigation training for DofE Silver. I've never seen the site so full at the end of September Great facilities as per usual and a five meal in the pub that evening. Princetown is a great place to explore Dartmoor from.

Well I did not stay in the actual Inn itself, I stayed in the campsite itself. No electric hookup or any of that nonsense a pure basic pitch. Showers and toilets were really clean. The food served in the pub itself is amazing. Its really worth the drive just to try the food at this place. The staff are really... More

Wonderful hotel with clean modern rooms AND the best meat pies ever. Stayed an extra night -- the hostess Sarah was most cordial. The location was very handy for touring Devon and the price was reasonable for UK.

I stayed here for a night recently and will do so again as the campsite is decent with clean facilities. The pub could be better though, there is no wifi (the Fox Tor Cafe and the Prince of Wales pub have wifi) and the staff could maybe make a little more effort. Didn't eat here as the other facilities in... More

After doing some traveling around the UK we have definitely found the best pie ever. Freshly made to order so don't be in a hurry but it is well worth the wait. Such a lovely atmosphere with great service just to top it off. Happy travelers from Australia
