The Price of Piece in Hatherleigh is a fabulous B & B and offers a tranquil environment for a weekend stay. It has beautifully maintained gardens right by the river and it was lovely sitting in the garden spotting squirrels and their acrobatic adventures. The lodge is also very attractive, including the rooms which are spotless, very well appointed with... More

We just had a spare night to get down to the West Country and found this B&B. It was a gem and would recommend for relaxing break. Would love to go again in the warmer weather and sit at one of the tables by the river sipping a glass of chardonnay!! There's a guest lounge which gives the feel of... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights. The landlord and landlady were very friendly and welcoming - they were ready with tea and cake when we arrived which was very welcome after a long drive! The ensuite room was beautiful and we had access to a cosy living room with a fire and board games. Breakfast was very tasty... More

Lovely B&B with great hosts. We were there for a party located a good 20 minute drive away but missed our lift to it as we arrived late. Brian insisted on driving us there and even managed to prevent us feeling guilty about accepting the offer! We were also very impressed by the warm welcome with tea and home-made scones... More

Peaceful, calm and relaxing with wonderful hosts who take care with all the details to make sure everyone has a great time. Lovely accommodation and food. We have visited several times with various family and friends and will be sure to return.

We have stayed at the Price of Peace many times and each time is as good as the first - which was absolutely excellent. Carol & Brian, the hosts, go out of their way to make sure that every need is catered for and nothing seems to be too much trouble. After usually cycling some distance to reach the Price... More

From the moment that we first drove up to Carol and Brian's charming lodge by the river, we felt the genuine welcome. I'm sure that as you enjoy a pot of tea and some home made cake in the spacious guest lounge, with the wood burning stove crackling, and the wall to wall windows looking out onto the lawns and...
