Perhaps this is more of a personal concern as i have a phobia of rats but to arrive at the hotel at about 7.00pm and park right outside by the doors and see a rat hanging around the light in view of everyone was to say the least concerning. My first thought is can i even get out of the... more

Stopped for one night on our way to Cornwall - it's well positioned for that, just off the A30. The receptionist was very cheerful, friendly and helpful, directing us to the nearby pub for dinner (see below). A minor let-down was that though we'd booked ahead as a party of three, the sofa bed hadn't been made up for our... more

Cheap room at £45 for our one night stay. On entry to the room a weird smell was present. The carpet hadn't been cleaned and various peoples hairs were dotted around the room. Bathroom had a mould issue. Worst point is the shower head position. This cannot be moved and my partner, who is 5.1" could not stand up underneath... more

Stayed here for two nights for a friends wedding in Devon. Stayed in a family romm (2 adults and a 5yr old). Pull out bed for child was not much cop so we all slept in the double bed which didn't bother us but may bother some people. For it's purpose it was good and very very cheap. (£58 in... more

Well , based on the other reviews I was not looking forward to this stay. We were going to a wedding and due to us not being very organised this was the only place in the area left! :) I was dreading staying here so as well as our luggage we packed our own sheets , pillows and I also... more

This is indeed quite possibly the worst hotel in Britain. I was greeted by the receptionist who handed me the key and said "you are in room 26- I think thats upstairs"!!!! The bathroom was dirty and stank of stale urine, paint is chipped off the walls and the place is generally depressing. I know its a value hotel and... more

I stayed here as I had a business appointment nearby. But all the other reviews are correct. Hairs in my bathroom, shabby, tired interior. Little Chef was bad. I stay away from them like the plague, but was not in the mood to drive again, having done 400 miles already. I stay in many Travelodges, but this one is indeed... more

This has got to be the worst Travelodge in the country - a complete dump. Mould all up the bathroom walls, staff that don't care. Moved rooms after a struggle only to find they are all bad! AVOID IT more

Stayed here before to break up the journey to Cornwall, but never again . It's just too depressing. The paint on the walls in the room was scrapped off and as if someone has tried to escape! The bathroon towel rail was hanging off, shower rail was rusty the floor in the bathroom was stained. I know it's a basic... more

Stayed here in September 2006. Room was large enough but the bed was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever stayed in, very cheap mattress with what felt like springs sticking through it. Still, for £26 it was good value. Avoid the Little Chef next door. We had a terrible meal, most hot items on the menu were off as... more
