Comfy room (on a main road, but two lots of double glazing meant it was silent). A good bed. Excellent showers! Some comments in previous reviews about it not having a TV - they do now - something like a 20" plasma screen. The food on the evening we ate there was great (they do a £9.95 seafood night for... more

We stayed at the Dartmoor Inn, in early April 2008, after seeing it listed in the 'Room at the Inn' book. We we're not disappointed by the place. Lovely pub, rustic, warm, and cosy. The staff were very charming, and all the little rooms made it feel as busy or as quite as needs be. I have read a terrible... more

Didn't stay the night, but ate and had a few. Great place on the moor. Cozy, warm fire, hospitable staff. Great Guiness. Traditional decor, but I could do without the chamber pots in the bar area! Perfect for a few stories and a night to clear your head. Would have loved to have stayed over. more

Our one night stay at this lovely inn was a surprise and a delight. When we booked we were a little concerned that we had booked on the same night as a pre-Christmas jazz evening, but our fears were completely unfounded. Tired from a heavy week and a dash from home to Gloucs our stop over was perfect. A perfect... more

My wife and I stayed at the Dartmoor Inn for three nights and had a fabulous time. We ate at in the restaurant on two of the three nights (its not open on Sundays) and the food was fantastic with both locally sourced produce and a varied menu. I have never seen such effort put into breakfast - practically turning... more

We stayed for the weekend with family, so took all 3 rooms at the inn. Staff were very attentive throughout our stay and the food was absolutely superb. We ate at the inn both nights and the sumptuous breakfasts kept us going until dinner!! They have a good selection of wines and the menu changes every night. The rooms are... more

Unlike other reviews, we could manage to survive for 3 days without a tv. We found the owners Karen and Philip charming and very helpful. The food was wonderful. It was our anniversary and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The room was lovely, I would have liked tea making facilites but that was a small crumble. The road... more

We should have been warned by the website "televisions are available on request" but we were guided by the self awarded accolades for good food and decor. On arrival, tired and thirsty after a long journey we were shown to our beautifully furnished room, which had the tv which was tiny. The room was noisy as it was on a... more

We stayed here in Feb 2007 & paid £115 for one night B&B. The owners are lovely and make you very, very welcome. The Inn itself could do with maybe a bit more personalising for the money. There are no numbers/names on the doors to the rooms, but there are only three! We stayed in Toile, which was a nice... more

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a relaxing weekend at the Dartmoor Inn in Devon. From the minute we arrived, we were treated wonderfully well. The hotel was quiet after the festive period, so we were kindly upgraded to a superior room which set the tone for the entire weekend. The room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean.... more
