Stayed at the hotel and had a very relaxing time. The hotel is in a great peaceful location and a really welcoming feel. We were greated with a wonderful wood fire roaring in the lounge. We especially enjoyed the Italian restuarant which was great. Would definitely come back again. more

My stay was a business trip meeting with a colleague. We had a very comfortable stay. The rooms were stylish and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful- the grounds and walks from the hotel are beautiful and although we were on a business trip it felt like we'd had a real break. more

We wished we had time to stay more nights. The building is away from traffic, lovely grounds, and large inviting lounge. Our first-floor room was inviting and quiet, set away from the public areas. This is a lovely place to stay. The room we stayed in, Hare Tor, had lovely decor and furniture and was spacious; although this was a room for 3 and there was only 2 of us. The bathroom was great too, although the water pressure could varying in the shower. Just a great place with really good food and service.... more

We have just spent three nights celebrating our Wedding Anniversary at the Lydford Country House and could not have chosen a nicer venue. We had a superior room with a beautiful shower room (although I would have liked, and expected to see a bath).
