We stayed here in August and were a bit wary, bearing in mind previous reviews on here. However, we were made to feel very welcome, the food was great and good value. The rooms were a little tired and could use redecoration, but the beds were clean. The bathroom could have used a makeover also. Breakfast was great. We felt... More

We have often come in here for a few drinks on a Saturday evening before we go off for a curry, My other half has commented many times that the food always smells nice and looks good as it wafts past us while we drink. While this time we decided to stay and eat, Im very glad we did as... More

We had a family meal here and we all had good meals. Carvery was good for meat eaters & my 4 year old had a nut roast option. They accommodated my request to alter a menu item. Lovely desserts and a small play area for the children. We ate outside which was nice.

We have recently stayed here as a couple. On the plus side the evening meal and breakfast were very nice and the bed was comfortable. On the downside the en suite was tiny and very old fashioned with a shower that only trickled out water and it was'nt very clean either. The wardrobe moved if you opened the door to... More

Had over an hour wait for our food to arrive after the order being taken, and this was from what we could see to be a very quiet night, as only a handful of people in the restaurant, and the bar area was empty. Drinks very over priced, unless we were charged for tap water ??? But one a good... More

I booked an 'economy room' as it was the cheapest on offer and I was travelling alone for business. All of the rooms on hotels.com are described as having a 'private bathroom' so I assumed they were all en suite (my mistake). When I was shown to my room it didn't have en suite facilities - my bathroom was across... More

The room was spacious and the staff friendly. Breakfast was good, as was the food. BUT our room badly needed redecorating and the bathroom was unbelievably outdated and grubby. Would not stay here again.

Me and my family went out for a family meal here today, I think by far it's the WORST place we have ever been, food so over cooked you had a hard job getting the knife in it, meat we where served was 90% fat, microwaved gravey and then we found hairs in it,the 2 young waitresses were very helpfull but...
