We visited here for a meeting, first impressions were poor, the pub was very run down. Inside is full of pictures and clutter and it doesn't look very clean at all. Staff were friendly, had our lunch which to be fair was nice. Could really do with a very deep clean and a refurb but because it was so run... More

Excellent stay, very friendly, comfortable, great food. We stayed for two nights just after New year, room was spotless but a bit dull. Seven of us had a meal the second night, three child portions were huge, all eaten though.Lovely food. will be staying there again whenever we visit the family

From the outside, this pub looks tired and uninviting and, to be honest, we drove straight past. However, from the write-up in my pub guide, we decided to give it a go and came back. Inside the pub is cosy and welcoming with plenty of soft seating although it could do with a bit of updating. We ordered sandwiches from... More

We booked a room for £50 here as everything closer to where we needed to be was very expensive and didn't include breakfast. We arrived at 10.30pm with our toddler who was asleep but not for long as we had to check in inside the pub where a band was playing extremely loudly. We were taken to our room where... More

Breakfast was delicious and he staff very attentive. The rooms, however, are very dated and furniture falling apart. No dogs allowed in bedroom because it's too "clean". Tried to point out that our room was far from clean but they weren't budging.

I've stayed here before - couple of years ago. It's the only Hotel in Ivybridge so unless you go B&B's that's it. Staff were consistently helpful and nice. Some niggles with my room led to the handyman asking me about them and being attentive. It is shabby. A member of staff admitted it needed re-furbishing but I doubt it will... More

the sportsmans inn in ivybridge is not worth bothering about. it is untidy and rundown looking and the bar/ restaurant area is full to overloading with naff memorabilia and posters. it looks grubby and tatty.the bedroom was rubbish with a tiny poor shower and a tv which struggled to get reception.

We received a warm welcome by the staff. The room was fine, a double bed, a bunk bed, bathroom and small "entrance hall" with a dressing table. The room was clean, bedding clean, towels good. The room was quiet even though it was on the ground floor. We had our own key to get into the building. The room décor... More
