Dinner portion of the duck breast & lamb shank was huge & very tasty- lavender pannacotta was sublte & delicious, I'm glad I ordered it as I don't... More

Chagford is quite simply beautiful and has something for everyone - from hiking in the wilds to one of the best music festivals. Our stay at The Globe Inn was perfect. Stunning accommodation, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, gorgeous food and wonderfully warm and welcoming staff for whom nothing is too much to make your stay delightful. I can't praise The... More

Visited the globe last night with a friend. Found all the staff to be super helpful and friendly. Enjoyed a fab evening of good cider and three courses of extremely yummy food (well done chefs). All accompanied with some lovely live music and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere - perfect!

We stayed at this lovely old coaching inn before and had such great time we decided to return for a winter break. We were not disappointed the room was large, tasteful, cosy and overlooking the church then onward to the moor. The staff as are very friendly and attentive and Nick the barman is very funny. On the first evening... More

Five mirrors in room but all were badly lit and no power supply near any of them so applying make - up and doing hair was a pain. Pillows were cheap and flat and needed to be bolstered by decorative cushions. Despite booking 10 weeks in advance and receiving assurances that my gluten /wheat allergy would not be an issue... My husband and I stayed at The Globe Inn for three days in May. The innkeeper/owner was very hospitable and friendly. A small Inn with a big heart, it felt like visiting friends of the family. The homespun atmosphere, good food, and friendly pub warmed by a glowing fireplace made our stay memoriable. Our room was modern, comfortable, and convenient.

In my opinion this is a really special hotel. On arrival we were met by friendly, relaxed helpful staff. Nothing was rushed and we were made to feel very welcome. There is a good choice of local ale and the food was excellent. The "legendary" fish and chips should not be missed! Our room was suburb with lots of nice... More

We had a lovely room here, good size with a big, comfy bed and also a sofa and coffee table to one side. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. We had a delicious meal in the bar and also a very good breakfast the following morning. I would definitely recommend it.

I have travelled to many places in my life and it is difficult to tell me something new - but, I did discover halloumi cheese in this wonderful pub/inn. It was on the specials menu that night and I am so glad I had it. It was served fried with other mixed vegtables on a skewer. Service was wonderful On... More

My husband and I stayed for 7 nights at the Globe, a repeat visit after 3 years. Would not stay anywhere else in Chagford. Food is first rate and even though we ate at a couple other places during our week in Chagford, we always liked our dinners at The Globe the best. One memorable item was a starter, described...
