Stayed at the Three Crowns for a single night as part of a weekend away in Devon and Cornwall. Opted for the lovely village of Chagford for its proximity to Dartmoor. The hotel is an fantastic ancient building with links to The Civil War, but has been recently refurbished to a high standard without losing the historic features; we felt... More

This is a lovely place to stay, the staff were great, and the food good. the only reason for this review is to have a bit of a moan regarding the noise, We stayed in room 18 which was a lovely clean well equipped room. the only problem was it was right next to the cleaning cupboard, and i do... Another really lovely stay at the Three Crowns, Chagford. Great to meet up with the familiar faces of Paul and Amanda again, helpful and cheerful as always. Also many thanks and congrats. to Craig for his fantastic and delicious meals and to Fiona for heading an excellent house keeping team. Also helpful and courteous were the many new faces. Hope... Stayed for a night away & had meal in the restaurant in the evening too. Great surroundings, lovely food & very attentive staff. We stayed on a standard room in the main hotel & only comment that I would make is that the room (8) was slightly tight on space & a little hot through the night, even with the... More

Stayed at the Three Crowns as an added bonus night during our honeymoon as we had booked dinner at Gidleigh Park. When we arrived we couldn't find our marked parking space but a quick trip to the reception desk and we were soon parked. Staff were friendly and we were quickly shown to our room. We booked a superior double.... More

Didn't stay at the Inn, but was able to book a table and had a great meal. Food was outstanding (a lot of top quality options on the menu, and a lot of top quality vegetarian options which is a rarity these days). Quality justifies the prices. Good environment, friendly and quick service, but that was for just 2 of... More

I called in to the Three Crowns following a feature on them on Doggy Devon. Me and my 4 month old Cocker Spaniel pup were greeted very enthusiastically and although I only ordered a coffee (a very good coffee it was too) we were made to feel most welcome and there were even dog treats available for my pup. There... More

Arrived late, tired and somewhat disorientated (I even walked up to the desk and stated that I was there for an appointment with, oh dear) from a long business day. I was immediately greeted by charming, friendly and thankfully understanding staff(bless ya). Greeted and taken to room by lovely, helpful and polite young lady (apologies I refuse to search for... Chagford is a small village in Dartmoor, the Three Crowns is a pretty old Inn in the center of the village that has a great clientele who evidently return quite often.the Inn has been totally refurbished though has lost none of its olde world charm. The food is great whether breakfast or dinner it is very good food beautifully prepared.

What a great place to go and stay. The room we had was nicely decorated, comfortable and very clean.. The bathroom was the same. They have thought of all the extras a cafitiere and ground coffee, lovely biscuits and the most comfortable gowns ever! Also the idea of a designated parking space is great for when it is really busy.... More
