We decided to indulge ourselves with a night in the best room here en route to a less plush but gloriously situated holiday rental in Cornwall. Friendly, comfy and mostly well executed is how I'd describe this place. The start of our stay it has to be said was not ideal - we could not find our reserved car parking... More

Very disappointed with this hotel. It's not the sort of place you expect to come across in a sleepy, lovely area in Devon - it's too new and shiny for its surroundings and reminded me of a wetherspoons. The food menus were boring, bland and overpriced for what they delivered; the menu that was trying to be slightly more 'posh'... More

Our apologies that your stay at the Three Crowns did not meet your expectations, when renovating the Three Crowns a lot of consideration was given to ensuring that the feel of this old inn on Dartmoor was not lost, whilst also incorporating the luxuries and facilities that you come to expect at a new refurbished hotel. Our apologies that this... More

We decided to book a stay at the Three Crowns after popping in for some lunch on the way home from Exeter Airport. We liked the feel of it so much we thought we'd make it our base for a couple of days exploring Dartmoor - and we were not disappointed. The car park is small, but well organised because... More

The great thing about staying in Chagford is the people. Everyone is super friendly. The village is great with little shops, tea rooms and restaurants. Chagford was this week voted one of the top 100 places to live in the UK by The Sunday Times and I can see why. If you are staying in Chagford then the Three Crowns... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Three Crowns in a superior room (nr 9 - I think it was) At the end for the hallway in a new part of the hotel. Very quiet ! We had our own parkingspace at the rear of the hotel. That is a nice extra bonus. We loved the hotel. It's such an... More

We stayed one night in a classic room which was really nicely decorated and lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable and we had a huge wetroom (nowhere in there to put toiletry bags though except on top of the toilet) The evening meal was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. Breakfast was also very good. The only downside was... More

My wife and I stayed here for a night away - the room was a little snug - but absolutely perfect - the attention to detail was stunning. The menu in the restaurant was good, but the quality of food served was simply outstanding. The staff were all attentive and incredibly polite and pleasant - we will not hesitate to... More

The Three Crowns is a very pleasant hotel in Dartmoor and makes a perfect stopover for a couple of days whilst out walking and enjoying the beautiful scenery that this part of the world has to offer. The room (superior) is of a good size and has all the comforts and facilities that one would expect e.g. bathrobes, slippers, complimentary... More

My wife and I stayed for a two-night break. We had a standard room that was excellent, breakfast was superb. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and thouroughly enjoyed the food. The dining room could have been a bit warmer on the first night but on the second night it was much warmer. We had drinks by the... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and had a lovely time. Our room was a standard but had enough space and was very nicely decorated. The only down point were that it was freezing cold when we first arrived as the radiator had been switched off, however it soon warmed up. The staff were very friendly and... More
