Nicest Bed and Breakfast I've ever stayed in - I can't think of a single fault. The location is amazing, the breakfast was delicious, the bedrooms and the general facilities are lovely and the whole place has lots of character. The animals are friendly and the swings in the garden are very cool! Will definitely recommend it to others and... More

Greenbank is exactly the sort of place that I dream of staying in when in the countryside. In fact, it is the sort of home that I dream of creating for myself one day. Character abounds the property, the owners are charming, our bed was extraordinarily comfortable, the linen superb, the shower large and the location conveniently on the edge... More

Good country house, relaxed and welcoming. However rooms smaller than expected for the price-cramped not much room for luggage. Breakfast average, shoddy seating, animals everywhere. No housekeeping-cleaning or change of sheets or vaccuming even though we were there several days!

What an utterly charming place. To wake up to Egg chatting away, the sound of chickens, the utter peace and absolutely wonderful hosts. I could not have asked for better. Just a great pity we could have stayed longer, but we were on a strict schedule. I will be back most definitely sometime in the future. Maggi & John (Australia)

We arrived at Greenbank on horseback, chucked the horses out into a lush green field and tramped into Fru's kitchen to be greeted by the smell of freshly baked scones just out of the Aga.This set the tone for the rest of our stay.We loved it.The whole house is a warm, inviting refuge...books everywhere, four poster beds,an antique well loved rocking horse,a... This is thee place to stay in North Dartmoor. Comfortable, happy, helpful and inspiring. Need your sanity restored? Well look no further. My home from home in Devon. My most recent stay reminded me of the pleasures of rest and having a holiday. Also you are right by Chagford one way and the moor on another, so perfect if you... More

It takes a special person to open their house to all, and Fru not only does this but opens her heart as well. It's a magical place. Please don't go there if you are a complete neat freak, or you don't appreciate good, old fashioned hospitality and warmth. Our 3rd visit in 6 years, we'd love to be there every... More

Spent four nights here and appreciated the warm welcome, hospitality and local knowledge. Great sitting in the garden in the sun which was a bonus. Very good breakfasts and comfortable bed. Peter and Fru drove us to a celebratory anniversary meal at Gidleigh park. There are very good eateries in Chagford; we enjoyed the Globe and Whiddons which is open... More

Some people take a while to know before they let their guard down and you feel part of the family. Not Pete & Fru at Greenbank Farm. We felt part of their home instantly. Pete & Fru's relaxed charm repels pretence found at most B&Bs these days. The house is a magical place brimming with books, pictures and ornaments. And... More
