Certainly the best B&B we have stayed at anywhere. We were made to feel very welcome in a warm and relaxed way. The accommodation, garden and surrounding countryside are beautiful and provide a perfect base for an interesting and varied holiday with Dartmoor and walks on the doorstep and the coast within easy reach.

Nestling in the beautiful Dartmoor National Park, Michelcroft offers peace, calm and every comfort. Wonderful walks close by and Mike and Debbie are very happy to recommend drives, walks and cycle routes so that you get the best from your stay. Tradesman's Arms, Abbey Inn and Dartbridge Inn offer good food nearby.

This place is a real gem! Perfectly positioned on the edge of Dartmoor the house is decorated to the highest standards and there is nothing that is too much trouble for the owners. Would recommend to anyone.

This is an extremely welcoming place to stay. It is run by a genuine couple whose pride is to provide you with a perfect stay in their home. It is one of the very best places which we have stayed at. Every comfort is at your disposition, from warm, very clean well decorated bedrooms, with patio doors leading to a... More

Faultless, stylish, warm and welcoming. Spent a long wet November evening at the fire side before enjoying an evening platter in the dining room. Breakfast would equal that at a top London hotel. It is a shame that after all this luxury and attentive service I was left with a niggling question - why did I have to pay cash... More

Thank you for the lovely review Eleanor. The reason we take cash for the extras we offer is because our booking system deals only with the room price. We do forewarn of this before ordering. More

Excellent stay. We were msde to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We are planning to go back in the summer. The only issue was tye local pub needs some attention so nowhere to eat locally. Dont let this put you off. There are plenty of great pubs within a 15 min drive.

A single night stop when breaking our journey down to Cornwall - and we're now considering how to go back and stay for longer, both to explore what looks like an intriguing area and just to enjoy the relaxing ambience and splendid facilities at this so welcoming B+B. The room was fresh and relaxing, the ensuite everything one could wish.... More

Mitchelcroft B&B has incredible view of the moors, with many close by walking trails that are quite charming. The hosts have maps of many trails for guests to use. Very helpful hosts with impeccable taste. We were happy to get a lovely ploughman's dinner there, very tasty! Wish we had 3 days more.

WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! We had found this b&b last year and promised ourselves we would go. Time ran away with us and we didn't get around to it but my partner booked it as a surprise weekend away for my birthday. We stayed in the Pond Room which was amazing, Debbie and Mike have thought of everything. Tea and Coffee... More
