Discovered the Cromwell Arms on a visit to Bovey Tracey. Popped in with my wife for a lunchtime snack and a drink. The place was clean, friendly and served a wide selection of real ales. Food was super and the beer was perfect. Would thoroughly recommend visiting if you plan a trip to Bovey Tracey. Will definitely return soon.

We went here on a family holiday with the grandparents for our first trip to the southe west in the UK. They gave US a nice big room with a good sized bathroom. The room was clean and quiet. They have a nice ale selection at the bar. They were helpful. The only annoying part was that there were two... More

Room OK, service and attitude appalling. They messed up the booking and fundamentally believed this was the error of the guest. Although this not the case customer service would not involve accusing guests for errors whoever is to blame. Repeated critic of guests due to this error, not able to provide receipt for payment (“we cannot afford an expensive hotel... More

Well what can we say about the Cromwell arms. If trip advisor did 10 out of 10 then this place would get 11. Just got back from a Friday and Saturday stay with four young children and the place was fantastic. Got there Friday about six and was welcomed to our family room which was away from the pub and... I don't usually leave reviews but felt the need to with this Dartmoor gem. I couldn't fault it! We were welcomed warmly and shown to a clean and well appointed room. An afternoon in the stunning countryside of Dartmoor National Park, great food in the restaurant in the evening and a comfortable nights stay in a clean room. The breakfast... More

I stayed here for a number of nights in early June and was thoroughly impressed with the place. All rooms have been refurbished and were spotless. Great breakfast too served by friendly staff. It really is a lovely little place. Well run, great value and there's a fabulous beer garden which is a real sun trap in the evening. Plenty... More

Stayed for 3 nights in this great pub. Nicely decorated rooms which are spotlessly clean. Lovely food, plenty of choice on the menu and the breakfasts are fantastic . Julie & Gary are wonderful hosts and they have a great team who make you feel very welcome. Spacious bar area with plenty of seats, popular with locals (always a good... More

Although no stranger to Bovey, I have not stayed here before nor visited the pub very much, the rooms on first impression are a bit shabby, but actually they are okay, very clean, sort of Travel Lodge standard, and being next to a pub their is some noise if you want an early night, and wonderful sounds of the birds...
