Excellent position for accommodation if cycling the "Dartmoor Way", just a few meters from the cycle route. The Inn was able to provide secure cycle storage. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, with an ensuite shower room. However the shower lacked water pressure and this was the case with our friends rooms too, as not all the rooms... More

My wife and I have visited the Riverside for a Mid Day Carvery once before and to be honest were not impressed and found the only thing hot was the plate. However we decided to give the Riverside another opportunity to see if things had perhaps improved, We were not late and arrived at 1.0PM normal for lunch, Our latest... More

After a very hilly ride on day 1 of the Dartmoor Way it was a true blessing to meet Robin & his staff at the Riverside Inn. I would recommend this place to any traveller but especially to any one on a push bike! Wonderful value for money, good beer & really enjoyable food. Many thanks, FWSB

Hotel is much more than you expect for the price paid. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and you are made very welcome. Bedroom was a good size and very comfortable and clean. The pub had a lovely atmosphere, mixing easily with the locals. The food was excellent with a good range of meals. Would definitely stay there again.

We arrived at 5pm on a Monday not having booked in advance and there were only 2 rooms available. The twin room we were given was not as smart as the pictures on here. Nevertheless it was Ok. It was clean but a bit dated and seemed to have been furnished cheaply. The room was a good size with clean... More

Thanks for your comments. In response to them, we have placed leather chairs in all the rooms, added another cereal choice in the mornings, and lastly placed individual soap dispensers on each sink. Again thanks. More

Stopped here as was central on our journey in need of pub grub. It was perfect, a great choice of food at great prices and the portions were just right. Food was great and so was the service. What a change to find a pub being just what it is and not trying to be a fancy restaurant with small... More
