We stayed at Brookfield for one night after spending two nights in a local 3star hotel in Bovey . See my review for The Edgemoor. The Brookfield was superior in every possible way. The room was beautifully clean and very comfortable, attention to detail was very impressive, hosts were extremely hospitable. Breakfast was delicious with local bacon, sausages and eggs,... More

We stayed in the Fuscia room for 3 nights. Lovely large room with view over the gardens and the moor in the distance. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and large bath towels. Breakfast was scrumptious with locally sourced sausages and bacon, home made bread and preserves and plenty of fresh fruit. Lawrence and Francis are so welcoming and friendly, would love... More

Without doubt the most comfortable and tranquil guest house I have stayed in, in this country. Set 20 minutes walk from the centre of Bovey, the owners have created the kind of place they would like to stay in, and show impeccable taste and sensitivity throughout. I stayed for four nights in the 'Fuschia Room' which overlooks part of a... More

I thouroughly enjoyed each visite.... They let me choose which room i wanted to be in each time and i always chose iris as i beleive is the best room. When you look out of the large window you get to see the backgarden you could see all the time and effort they had put into it. I cant wait... More

Stayed a couple of nights in August. Warm welcome and lovely spacious, comfortable and well equipped room and en-suite bathroom. A lovely Edwardian house and fine garden in a quiet but convenient location. Breakfast was excellent and the attention to detail throughout was exceptional.

Reading TripAdvisor reviews on Brookfield House I was expecting good things and I certainly was not disappointed! The house was built in 1906 and has been lovingly restored by the present owners. The gardens are lovely, each bedroom having a view of them and the moor beyond. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 double with en-suite bath and shower, 1 double with... More

Stayed for two nights in early August - great guest house - wonderful building, beautifully restored with lovely guest rooms. Great breakfasts using locally sourced ingredients. Would definitely recommend as a base for exploring the surrounding area, although Bovey Tracey itself has little to offer and the weather rather curtailed our intended exploration of nearby Dartmoor!

We were lucky to be in Iris so woke to a view of sunshine on Dartmoor. This was quiet, comfortable, and friendly and an easy walk from the village

Unfortunately only a one night stopover, but everything about Brookfield was just right. Lovely house and garden, very comfortable accommodation and first class breakfast. Easy walk in to the village for an evening meal. Laurence and Frances have got this just right and are very welcoming, informative and professional.
