Didn't know what to expect being a pub with only three rooms to let. We were given the family room - huge room with double bed and one single, beautiful open fire place, and a shower you could party in. Tea and coffee available in the room too. The family who run it are very welcoming, friendly and didn't smoother... More

Stayed overnight and had a thoroughly excellent stay. Warm welcome, room large and comfortable, diner enjoyable and breakfast copious. The weather helped and Ashburton was a joy. We will certainly stay again when we can.

We've just rounded off a morning's course at the Ashburton Cookery School with lunch at the Victoria Inn - excellent quality food extremely well cooked and presented, and at very reasonable prices. We will be back!

Just stayed in the Victoria Inn Ashburton with Shane and Mags, who were most welcoming. The food was of a very high quality and the steaks were excellent. The ambience was great with the locals and created a wonderful atmosphere. The room we stayed in was lovely and clean and very homely. We chose this location because it was close... More

We stayed last night with 4 friends so that we could attend a concert at St Andrew's church. Our room was large with a very comfy double bed and a single too so ideal for a family. No en-suite for us but a private large shower room was only a few steps away and bath robes and slippers were provided... More

Very busy as it was a Friday, had a good atmosphere with many locals. Very welcoming and luckily had a table of two. Good selection of beer on tap, had to wait for the food but it was worth it. We both had fish chowder with roll and a side salad. The chowder was excellent with different pieces of lovely... More

Beds were very comfortable, shower was great, room was large, kids were loving life as they had wifi! This is a proper pub with some retro games (pacman, bar skittles) with excellent food, must be... We stayed there for two nights whilst down in Ashburton for a friend's wedding. At £60 an evening the price was competitive. The room was lovely; large and clean and perfect for what we wanted. Breakfast was included and I was unable to eat all of my full English because their was so much and it was very good. Would... More

Grub was good, chips were awful. Come on guys get the basics right - I want chunky chips done in fat, I can eat healthily the rest of the week! Real Ale was good. Picked a night when the band was doing there bit, but hey! Tables n chairs need a bit more thought and design/layout. Six of us and... More
