I come and stay here once a month and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The owners - Julia & Clive - are just a delight and the breakfast (especially the bacon) is second to none. The village of Ashburton is right on the edge of Dartmoor so it's a 5 min drive (or 20 min cycle uphill) and you're... More

My sincere apologies to the owners for taking to long to review this place! The stay was very pleasant, room spotless, owners very nice, breakfast lovely, great location and it was excellent value for money. Couldn't recommend this enough. This will be the first place we look at when we are back down in the area.

We had the good fortune to stay with Julia and Clive on June 6th and 7th 2014. The 4 of us really enjoyed being guests in this quirky, wonderful old building in the heart of Ashburton and next to one of Englands most beautiful churches. The rooms were spacious and more than adequate, and excellent value, the breakfast first class,... More

I stayed at this lovely old property overnight as a friend was having a party at the other end of town. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, the rooms are really spacious and airy and the breakfast in the morning really hits the spot. The most important thing though are the hosts who are a lovely welcoming couple. I would not hesitate... More

We came to ashburton for a friends wedding and needed somewhere to stay for 2 nights! The welcome was lovely and they answered all our questions about the area! They were extremely helpful and gave us taxi numbers and directions around the town. The rooms are excellent quality for the price we paid and the breakfast was delicious. Extremely lovely... More

I recently stayed at The Old Coffee House while attending a week long course at the Ashburton Cookery School. The school had recommended a few locations and the first one I tried was full, however, they then put me in touch with Julia and Clive at The Old Coffee House, and I couldn't have been happier with the result. The... More

If you want a nice relaxing week-end break or even a week on the edge of the moors but within easy reach of the sea the little town of Ashburton makes a great base and The Old Coffee House is a refreshingly resonably priced B & B with clean comfortable rooms , generous breakfasts and vey friendly hosts in the... We had a lovely stay in The Old Coffee House Our room overlooked the street but wasn`t too noisy as the traffic calms down in the evening. We had a nice breakfast in the morning and our hosts were friendly.

I stayed at The Old Coffee House for a week in March. I was on a week long course at the nearby Ashburton Cookery School. Julia & Clive were very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean & spacious and nothing was too much trouble for them. I highly recommend The Old Coffee House, I will definately stay there again... More

Stayed for one night 20th October 2012. We were going for a celebration meal in the town and did not want to drive home. Very clean, welcoming and friendly. Our room cosy and warm and the bet really comfortable. Nice bathroom, spotlessly clean, lovely. Good full English breakfast, freshly cooked and piping hot! Would highly recommend this b and b....
