Our room was excellent. Stylish, very comfortable and spacious. Outstanding value and our hosts, John and Tess, warm and friendly. It could not have been better and we will undoubtedly be staying there again in the future, when visiting our friends in the area. more

Again we chose to stay at Brookside in Brixham because I have not found anywhere that compares for attention to detail, style, cleanliness & friendlyness. It was my partners 50th and Tess & John had left a box of chocs & card. The extended garden area is wonderful, and we sat with tea & muffins in a lovely late afternoon... more

My husband and I stayed at the Brookside Guest House in Brixham for a three night stay (Sept 11th to 14th). The owners John and Tess are lovely and make you feel really welcome. A real sense of home from home. The rooms are lovely and clean and are well. decorated. Our room (number 4) had and en suite. I... more

What a wonderful few days away we had made better by the fact the B&B was excellent. You can come and go as you please. The room was lovely and clean and with nice extras(loved the shower gel). The First day we asked if the breakfast could be served to our room as did not want to get up early... more

We stayed here while attending a family reunion in Brixham. You knew instantly it was going to be fine when the owner, John, made us a pot of tea and brought them to our room with cherry and blueberry muffins, too. It was this sort of "nothing's too much trouble" attitude which prevails here. John even met my sister and... more

Brookside Guest House was fantastic! The newly re-decorated rooms were great, with all the little extras making it just that much nicer. The friendly hosts made us feel welcome and relaxed, and the breakfast was wonderfully cooked (and with all the options we were spoiled for choice!). It seems a lot of thought has gone in to making a guests... more

When we arrived at Brookside Guest House after a long journey we were given a warm welcome and shown straight to our beautifully decorated room where Tess brought us up a fresh pot of tea and warm muffins. The room was en-suite and was very clean with attention to detail such as quality toiletries, flat screen TV, DVD player (There... more

Without a doubt Brookside is one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed in. The food was superb from the fresh strawberries to the smoked salmon and scrammbled eggs. The room was first class and the owners were perfect hosts. We will be visiting again. more

Just spent Sunday to Tuesday at Brookside and what a high standard of accomodation. Very tastefully decorated, very clean and the breakfast choice was excellent. As a person that is very fussy, it was the best breakfast choice I have been offered. Not just the usual english but a good variety of assorted dishes, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, yumeee.... more
