Always happy to return to this hotel and have had happy stays over the last thirty years. Best views in Brixham, always a very good breakfast and never less than excellent service. Book a balcony room if you can, worth it for the view alone. The Maritime Inn just a few steps up the hill is also worth a visit,... More

The best fruit de mer you can get. The freshest fish cooked wonderfully well. Great friendly service too. Very highly recommended. A more than acceptable set menu that is good value for money and with good choices, or a fabulous a la carte with daily specials. This one is an absolute gem and well worth making the effort for.

Stayed for 4 nights in late August - 2 adults and 2 young children in a family room. The room was good - a bit dated decor-wise, but perfectly adequate and spacious. The children's shared sofa-bed was located in what was a separated area behind another set of doors, which worked well. The bathroom was very good, and had obviously... More

this was a weekend break with my partner, we found the hotel to be lovely and clean, really comfortable, the staff were lovely polite and always courteous - nothing was too much trouble, The only thing I could fault was deep fried sausage and fired bread, but it is only my taste. DO NOT LET THIS PUT YOU OFF, THE... More

Nice menu and food was acceptable, however both scallops and monkfish were overcooked which was a shame. Service was good and the view over Brixham harbour was fantastic as the weather was great. Probably wouldn't recommend this restaurant to friends or family though and wouldn't go again.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel! The room was great overlooking the brixham harbour! Waking up to the sound of seagulls every morning and having a glass of wine in bed while enjoying the romantic harbour lights was a fantastic experience! The hotel is really close to all the shops and amenities of brixham! Staff are helpful and... More

Just back from two nights in Brixham. Between the family group we had three rooms all of which were very clean, comfortable and full of character. My husband and I had a harbour view which was fantastic. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly giving the hotel a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Would... This hotel is right on the harbour and the view from my window was amazing. I would recommend the cooked breakfast as it was of a very high standard, there is also a good selection of hot options. The buffet was slightly lacking with no croissants and not much fruit. My room was well furnished if a little worn and... More

Just had 3 nights at this hotel with a room looking over the bay. Had a good cooked breakfast each morning served by friendly staff. In the evening we ate in the Ernie Lister pub next door which is owned by the Hotel. Where you can get good food in pleasant surroundings with live entertainment on certain nights. The Hotel... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in a family room inland view. We booked this last minute so didn't expect to get a harbour view. The hotel itself is looking a little tired, but it is very clean and bed very comfy. We ate in the restaraunts the First night and in the Lister Bar the 2nd... More
