We stayed here for 2 nights in June; our room was great, a good size and very clean. Sherry and jelly beans provided which is a bit quirky but nice, a bit like the hotel itself. The building has lots of character and our room had good views of the harbour. Staff were friendly. However the restaurant was disappointing -... More

Booked a week at The Quayside Hotel after reading the good reviews, so we were a little concerned by some of the later reviews we saw. We needn't have worried. We have had a delightful week, the hotel is excellent, the staff brilliant. It is difficult to single any one of them out, the delightful ladies on reception, always smiling and... More

My Husband and myself visited Quayside Hotel at the beginning of June whilst on a short break in the area after a lot of deliberations because there didn't seem much choice in the area for quality resturants so after doing a search of Brixhams best decided to go to the Quayside ! Well this was the start of a real... More

We are very sorry to have caused you distress over what in the end was an administrative error on our behalf. As you were non resident diners and did not stay at the Hotel we had no other method but the telephone to contact you. Our Head Receptionist tried on many occasions to phone you but was unable to get... More

We live quite locally, but needed a night away from the kids and the house, so decided to book into the Quayside. We were really lucky, as we were booked into a fab sea view room with a balcony, which was great seeing as we booked late Sunday afternoon and only for 1 night! We requested a bottle of Prosecco... I stayed for one night and found my room dull and characterless. The view from my window was the room opposite's window about 2 metres away Spending any time in the room would just be depressing I'm afraid so avoid room 42 which at £95 for B&B I found really overpriced. On the plus side the breakfast was good but... More

On the positive side the hotel was in a great location but the accommodation left a lot to be desired for the £120 that we paid for 1 nights B&B. When we arrived we were shown to room number 39, a family room with bunks, tired furniture and a bathroom not big enough for a family if they had small... More

We stayed here on a sunday night at the end of april. We upgraded to a room with a seaview and a four poster bed. The view from the room was over Brixham harbour and was worth paying extra for. The bed was big and comfy but the 'posts' were wobbly and not of high quality. Housekeeping in the hotel... More

We picked the Quayside as it was positioned on a road looking out into the harbour and we booked a sea view room to complement this. We were welcomed by a lovely lady who quickly booked us in and gave us a parking pass for a designated car park a short stroll away. We had booked a twin sea view... More

Not a great experience and would not book again, not worth what we paid and will go back to The Berry Head hotel next time. Feel that money needs to be spent on this hotel and more housekeepers needed to make sure the rooms are clean as a paying customer would expect them to be.

Nice hotel but in a quirky way it's made up of several buildings moulded into one, so lots of stairs and narrow passageways, The room was clean warm and sufficient for our 2 night stay. The food was 5* in the restaurant, you'll need your walking shoe's for this area
