These offers are designed to fill their non sea view rooms i.e land facing rooms. Some are aok but beware of 403,404,405, 410 & 410 (There are more whose numbers I'm not familiar with). These for certain have windows which overloook the rooftop of the indoor pool. When the weather is hot you have to make the choice whether to... more

We stay the one night as a birthday treet. We were concerned before we went as some of the reviews seemed off putting. But I must say that this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. I would say it is as good as the Haven Hotel and Harbour Heights hotel in Sandbanks dorset. The view is... more

My fiancé and I booked a room at the Saunton Sands Hotel for a romantic getaway. When we arrived we were directed into a car parking space and then shown into the hotel. We arrived early so we checked in quickly and headed off to the beach, the hotel offered to take our bags to the room for us. On... more

A beautiful location and superb views. It is the one place my wife had wanted to stay in since she grew up nearby. What a huge disappointment. From the time we checked in and were greeted by offhand reception staff to the appallling service at dinner, with the wrong meals being brought, the wrong wine being bought halfway through the... more

This hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking a stunning beach. It is generally in good condition with the rooms recently being refurbished and nicely decorated. Try and get a sea view as the rooms in the back of the hotel overlook mainly the carpark and the road. Given the hotel is all about the beach it would be a... more

I can't understand the negative comments on this site. We have stayed at this hotel for the last three years, previously during the summer holidays and last year during the October half term. We have always had a wonderful experince with polite and helpful staff, delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere. We have booked to stay here again this summer... more

Just returned after taking my 4 children as you will read on other reviews the use of the restarant is out of bounds for children, even for breakfast, and for anyone else depending which direction the wind is blowing! Stand by the reception for 10 mins and you will see what I mean, lots of complants by residents regarding entry... more

Again, I was a bit cautious before the visit due to some of the negative reviews here. However, my wife and I found the hotel pleasent, well located and generally in keeping with its four star rating. We were blessed with fanatastic weather during our 3 night stay and so were able to make the most of the stunning location.... more

i first stayed here in 1980 and have been twice since and have now just stayed for 3 nights with my partner. weather was glorious (17 degrees for mid march) this hotel really is the business. the location--cleanliness-food and wine is second to none. the bar service is especially first class with the staff always quick to offer drinks to... more

The hotel is in a wonderful position overlooking Saunton Sands & it really is worth the extra to book a sea facing room. The standard double room was adequate, but in need of a little updating - the views were great. The staff at the hotel were also friendly & helpful & I cannot fault them. I do however agree... more
