We never expected to be given a lift to the wedding or be able to borrow a pashmina to wear to it but this is what Matthew and Sophie our hosts offered without being asked. How generous and kind they are.Silver Cottage is a special place and we were lucky to find it.

We stayed at Silver cottage for 4 days with a 1 year old. We were initially apprehensive about staying in a B & B with a little one as we were concerned about disturbing other guests. We needn't have worried as the set up at Silver Cottage was perfect! We had a whole small cottage to ourselves. The owners are... More

This is a wonderful place to stay. The warmth of the welcome and the attention to detail is astonishing. The cottage and gardens are beautiful, and the accommodation is well laid out with your own front door and separate sitting room (including a small kitchen area) down stairs and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Perfect if you are staying... More

This was the most amazing B&B that I have ever stayed in. We were late arriving which was not a problem with Matthew and Sophie who made us all very welcome and it did not matter what time we go back. This is down to the fact that you have your own entrance to your own half of the cottage... More

It's a beautiful place. The bed was comfortable, sheets super crisp and the sitting room cosy. As the weather was nice, we were able to enjoy a glass of wine on our own little patio area with table and chairs. The hosts are nice people and very generous - instead of the token biscuit, a whole plate of them awaited... More

I felt very lucky to have found Silver Cottage. After a week hiking and camping along the Coast Path, it was an oasis of comfort. Beautifully furnished rooms, a blooming flower and veg garden, and a truly delicious breakfast. Sophie and Matt are wonderful hosts and made me feel very much at home. Lovely conversation, peaceful surroundings and a rejuvenating... More

In May, we did an 8 day hike along the Southwest Coast Path in Somerset and Devon, England. We stayed at various B & B's and hotels along the way. My very favorite was the Silver Cottage B & B in Braunton! Our hostess, Sophie, was so friendly and sharing and we felt at home immediately after walking in the... More

Sophie, the owner, and her lovely family, made our stay memorable. From their historic old home and barn, to their garden in old Braunton, the B and B was a memorable experience. What made it most special, however, was the passion that Sophie, the owner, has for hosting guests and creating a wonderful experience for us trail -weary travelers! Great... More

I stayed here for just one night while walking the SWCP. The beautiful little cottage is tucked away in the narrow streets, well away from the main roads. The B&B accommodation is fabulous - being the end section of a lovely old cottage. There is a really comfortable sitting room and two bedrooms upstairs. All are immaculately presented. the location... More
