I stayed here on my own for 2 nights in April, Bob and Jane couldn't have done more to make me welcome, lovely quiet room with en suite, and superb breakfasts, all spotlessly clean. My friends who stayed in town at the local hotel, payed much more and were "treated to " open mic nights in the bar and sticky... More

I spent one night here on my way to a wedding and from the moment I arrived I felt as though I was at home! Jane & Bob greeted me with a cup of tea and introduced me to the other guests - all of whom were first time visitors and looked equally at home. My room was lovely -... More

My wife and I are moving to Barnstaple in January so decided to travel down for the weekend to have a look around. I booked a room at the Travellers Joy after having tried a few other B&Bs from larger websites and finding them all fully booked (Apparently it was a good surfing weekend). I’m really glad we stayed here... More

Spent a couple of days at Traveller's Joy. As per other reviews Jayne and Bob could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Their house is lovely with wonderful views over the estuary (?). It is a bit of a walk from the centre, so you do need a car.......

We have just returned from a few days in Braunton attending a wedding in Chivenor. Booked into Travellers Joy for B&B by chance. We couldn't have been more delighted! It exceeded all our expectations by far. Jayne & Bob are fabulous, (so too are their adorable grandchildren Leilarnie and Tegan). Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made... More

We just called the place to reserve one night for one person for £25 like this website mentions but they asked me for £40 pounds. I thought it was expensive for the time of the year and when I only wanted one night while visiting my wife who works in Braunton. Have found a lovely place in Stockwell Lodge for... More

From the moment we arrived it felt like home. The Owners were very welcoming & knowledgable about the surround area & were happy to advise on local destinations and activities. The accomodation was immaculate, the breakfast was delicious & the beds were heavenly with beautiful white crisp linen. We will definately be back!

We stayed at Travellers Joy for a long weekend and after a long journey we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Jane and Bob are a fantastic couple, so helpful & very friendly. We have 2 young children who were allowed to play in their garden on the climbing frames and swings etc. The room was... More
