Chipley farm is a great place to stay for exploring the beautiful Devonshire countryside. The B&B is very comfortable and situated in an idyllic spot for walking, bird watching and relaxing. The owners, Louisa and Fred are extremely hospitable and welcoming. A friendly and inviting place to stay for a get away.

My wife and I stayed for 5 days at the end of August and early September. We had the family room and we were very comfortable and found Louisa and Fred very welcoming and friendly . The area is gorgeous and the views from the farm wonderful. I enjoyed watchng the birds on the birdtable whilst having breakfast, and talking... More

We stayed at Chipley Farm for two nights recently and enjoyed our stay immensely. Louisa and Freddy made us very welcome and our room was first class. Breakfast was lovely (we recommend the sausages!). Chipley Farm itself is in a lovely location (ideal for the Torbay coast and Dartmoor) with two pubs nearby. We especially recommend the Welcome Stranger Inn... More

We booked Chipley Farm as we were attending a wedding in Ashburton. Like the previous reviewer we had left it too late to book in Ashburton but Chipley was only a 10 minutes drive from the reception. Louisa couldn’t be more helpful. She allowed us to check in early, gave us a front door key so we could return back... More

My wife and I left it rather late to book accommodation for a friend's wedding celebration in Ashburton; consequently all the hotels & B&Bs within walking distance were fully booked. After considerable fruitless enquiries, I chanced upon Chipley Farm, about four miles away in the tiny parish of Bickington. The website presented this guest house on a working dairy farm... More

I have stayed at Chipley Farm several times and always receive a terrific welcome from Louisa and her family, not forgetting the dogs. I have never been disappointed, as whatever the weather the view is beautiful and the ambiance within the farmhouse wonderful. Breakfast is truly Farmhouse style, designed to set you up for the day, and if you opt... More

We stayed at Chipley farm the first time last year and were so impressed with the wonderful treatment we received that we returned again earlier this year. The owners were very friendly and the food excellent, (fresh eggs from the roaming chickens) and we also received a welcome from Badger the owner's dog. We stayed at Chipley farm as we... More

Our stay was short but very sweet. Chipley Farm is a little bit of 'Devon-Heaven'. Fred and Louisa made us feel at home, it was like visiting old friends. Our rooms and meals were wonderful. We will most certainly be back. Our French fiends who visited with us echo all our sentiments. Hello to Badger and Skye from us all.... More
