Didn't stay at the hotel, only had a meal. Very good food overall but the soup was the nicest I have ever had! Waiter said it was bean but was more like pea ... and garlic. Very pleasant staff, helpful & friendly.

This hotel has such potential because of the location and the space inside. The food choices are vast and clear on the menu and the board. So shame that a visit there is such a dispiriting experience. I went in and sat down. And sat. And sat. I gave up hoping a staff member would interact with me and asked... More

The hotel stands over looking bay. It's quiet. Staff are friendly food is good. It's a old hotel and has its own unique features which makes a stay here worth while. I have stayed twice this month in room 4 which has brilliant sea views. Will stay again.

My partner and I had a fabulous holiday here! We had a beautiful room (Number 9) overlooking Rocquaine Bay - and I got lots of inspiration for my current novel from the view outside our window. The food was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. There was lots to see and do and I'd have no hesitation in re-booking.

The hotel is in need of a refurb - from public walkways in the hotel, to bathrooms. It is a budget priced hotel....but nevertheless, guests need a bit more. The food in the Water Front restaurant, however, is fabulous and so is the setting the hotel is in.

We have only eaten in the Imperial but found it a very good place for lunch. We eat in the bar and although the menu offers pub type food it is very good. There are specials available, the mussels and the crab sandwiches are recommended.

Lovely situated hotel, by a beach, and has great view. The hotel could do with an update, but it was clean, comfortable and we were extremely happy. A must is a sea view, we had room 4. The staff are excellent and really try to accommodate all our requirements. Breakfast and evening meals were great, large choices and even larger... More

We got off to a bit of a shaky start; we'd requested a sea view room after reading reviews of the stunning views, and arrived to find we had a less than splendid view of the car park! There was nothing else available for the first couple of nights, but then in all fairness we were offered a choice of... More

Clean room and bedding. Good breakfast and evening meals. Fish was the largest I have ever been served. Handy for buses and beaches. Plenty of hot water and clean towels. Friendly and helpful staff . Warm welcome from Gavin.
