Room was musty, had paper peeling off the walls, bathroom stank. Manager had an attitude "well this is only a 2 star hotel" it's nothing like the brochure. Food was good however we had paid for 5 courses al-a-carte and we were told to eat off the Tennerfest menu. Beware the brochure.!!! more

we've just got back from a really enjoyable long weekend at the imperial hotel. The views from the rooms were lovely, it's worth getting a balcony for the extra space., Some parts of the hotel could definately do with tidying up, such as the wallpaper peeling off in our bathroom but it didn't distract from the overall holiday. The free... more

We had not intended to stay at the Imperial but were refused entry to another hotel, having booked seven months previously, owing to the presence of 60 children!! and were transported here until they had left. We cannot thank them enough for the kindness and support they showed us at a most difficult start to our holiday, arranged through an... more

The Imperial Hotel occupies a great location, with many rooms offering wonderful views of the adjacent coastline and out to sea. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is substantial, well prepared and served-up in a pleasant room, again offering sea views. There are ample parking facilities, both in the Hotel's own car park and outside the... more

Stayed one night in this hotel located on the west coast of Guernsey. Location is very nice, directly on the beach in a very big bay. Concerning the hotel by itself: it is not a new one, and it is quite obvious when you enter in you room ! The rooms are clean, but everything seems to be 20 or... more

This is a 2 star rated hotel. The best thing about the hotel is the views which are lovely. The place itself is shabby and could do with some tlc. Our bedroom was clean but small and the bathroom just had a shower and a tiny, tiny sink.It overlooked the back of the hotel but at least it was quiet. We... more

This hotel was booked for us as present for our first Wedding Anniversay. The views from our room were amazing as we were overlooking the bay and the service and food were wonderful. The bathroom in our room did need a little TLC but the views from the bedroom definately made up for it. The hotels location was suberb with... more

We go for walking holidays on Guernsey every few years. We chose the Imperial because it is perfectly placed at the western end of the south coast coastal path. We had a second floor room with an excellent sea view. The room was not perfectly clean on arrival, but as we were early, possibly cleaning had been hurried to accommodate... more

My wife and I stayed for 10 days at The Imperial. The location is right on the bay and superb, try for a room with a sea view, it is better than the TV. Food was good with a choice of restaurant or pub, a lot of locals seemed to use it, so that is a good recommendation. The staff... more
