My wife and I have now stayed at this hotel on 7 or 8 occasions and we have already booked for next year. The location is fantastic with a view from the dining room that couldn't be bettered. The food is excellent and the staff are so helpful and friendly with nothing being too much trouble for them (the majority... More

The Imperial is a great little hotel right on the bay with amazing views and spectacular sunsets. From here you cabs asking walk to Pleimont point before breakfast! Staff and very helpful and the food is good and plentiful. Would definitely go back. Stayed here in 2010 and found this stay jaunt as enjoyable.

What a fantastic find. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Imperial. We stayed in Room 3 and the view across the bay from our room was stunning. The hosts were friendly, the staff were polite and efficient, the beds were comfy and the food (both dinner and breakfast) were delicious. Nothing was too much trouble, including organising car hire for... More

We stayed for a weekend in April, and the weather was very kind. As a result the view from our balcony was always a joy to wake up to. The room was a little tired, with mold in the bathroom and a general feeling that a good overhaul was required, But it is obvious that the owners are doing their... More

We have stayed in this hotel twice. Once in 2009 and 2010. There is nothing fancy about the place but it is closer to nature.(big rooms and clean rooms though, toilets could be better though).i often find it so soothing and relaxing to sleep with windows open cus it's facing the sea.(we always asked for the Seaview room on the... We were lucky enough to pick a night when there was a band in the public bar - brilliant atmosphere. A really nice touch is where they bring out (free) sandwiches and hot snacks. Its just like a pub should be, friendly and comfortable, not antisceptic like a cocktail bar or wine bar. The food in the restaurant is terrific... More

Just returned after 6 nights at the Imperial Hotel. A very comfortable friendly Hotel offering excellent facilities and superb food. The atmosphere is very low key and casual but the service is second to none. The owners, Sabrina and Gavin make you feel at home from your first step across the threshold and cannot be faulted for their friendly and... More

The Imperial is located in a wonderful setting with fantastic views and perfect dog walking just on its door steps, this is where the positives finish. We can tolerate slow service and shabby decor to enjoy the view, however during a recent visit we did not expect this enjoyment to be ruined by what can only be described as intimidating... More

An excellent location, quiet and close to the sea. Food was first class, no pretentious names on the menu and generous amounts at good prices. The room was spacious, bright, clean and well situated. The hotel could do with some updating, when walking in for the first time it will look very familiar to those of us of a certain... More

Enjoyed a short break here, gorgeous sea views and location for walks both along the sandy beaches and inland and bus rides round the island from just outside the hotel. Also close to Fort Grey museum which is worth a look, particularily after 4pm when the admission fee drops to £1. We found the hotel to be friendly - the... More
