We have always wanted to stay at this hotel because the location is second to none. Architecturally, the hotel is stunning and very romantic. We paid a small fortune for three nights in what is described as being a "platinum" room. We did request a balcony, but the request was clearly ignored and it is not the guests responsibility to... more

Dear Jakoba, Thanks for your review on Fermain Valley. I am glad you enjoyed the majority of your stay. Sorry to hear about the over efficient receptionist on check in, I have re-issued a personality chip to them. We are also discussing with our chef methods to make our breakfast more memorable, all ideas are greatly welcome! When we have...

This is a great hotel in guernsey, within 5 minutes drive of the "city centre" but set within a narrow and steep valley, looking down to Fermain Bay. The views are spectacular and the forest setting means that you can't hear a thing from the outside world. I suggest that if you visit, you check in early and walk down... more

We have just returned from a gourmet break at this lovely hotel and would recommend it to anyone who wants to recharge their batteries and get away from it all in a beautiful location. The service at the hotel is second to none. Gemma, the receptionist, gave us a guided tour on arrival. We had upgraded to a Gold room... more

This is the first review I've written about a hotel, but the fermain valley is well worth it. We stayed there recently and had a wonderful time, I traveled with my partner and would like to say a huge thank you to Lee the duty manager at the time for making us feel so welcome on our first trip together.... more

Stayed at the Fermain for 3 nights in a Gold room above the cinema. We felt like we had been there for a longer stay as we immediately felt relaxed and well looked after as soon as we were picked up by the hotel bus at the airport. The room was lovely with a nice view over the gardens and... more

We booked to stay at the Fermain Valley to celebrate our Crystal Anniversary. We had a fantastic stay, the staff were really great , friendly and very helpful. Special mention to Gemma, Steve, Neal, Richard and Ravais who all helped with extra personal service levels. Gemma handled all of our bookings ( Joint Stay with Alderney Sister Hotel ) and... more

This is the first time we stayed at this hotel and will not be the last. The location in a wooded valley with views to the sea was superb. The walk down to the rocky beach was envigorating. The hotel was kept immaculate by helpful staff. The reception staff in particular worked very long hours but were always willing to... more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fermain Valley Hotel. Our room overlooked the valley with distant views of the sea from the balcony. It was well appointed and extremely comfortable. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The highlight was dinner at Christophes the Michelin starred restaurant within the upper gardens of the hotel. We chose... more

The Fermain valley hotel is in a beautiful location, but is let down by poor service and distinctly unfriendly attitude on the part of the reception staff in particular. The reception staff never smiled, and never went out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. The owners of this hotel need to understand that no amount of luxury will... more

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms in the main house, friendly helpful staff and a good english cooked breakfast. There is a great beach cafe which is well worth a visit, though the road could be a little steep. more
