We arrived at reception at were greeted by a surley big guy told us our room number and gesticulated towards the stairs. (No Lifts) ! The next morning we arrived for breakfast, and as nobody greeted us, we sat down by the window. We ordered our Breakfast and our Tea and Toast arrived. As we started to pour it a waiter arrived... more

After a stay in an awful 3* hotel in Bournemouth, we weren't expecting much from this 2*. We needn't have been concerned. The room was spacious with plenty of storage space. The room was cool and the bed was comfortable (no lead pillows!). The staff were friendly and always helpful and offered to help with bags when telling us there... more

We were staying in Guernsey for 10 weeks working and had a deal (agreed via email) from the start to the end of our stay. Whilst checking out of the hotel after our 7th week of our stay the management decided without consultation to increase our agreed rate by £15:00 per person per night. I queried this with the owner... more

We stayed at the Pandora for 2 nights in May and 9 nights in August. On the night before our arrival in August, I secretly called the hotel and asked whether they could provide for a bouquet of flowers in our room as it was my wife's birthday. They did a superb job and the surprise for my wife was... more

Our family stayed here for a week, with half board (breakfast and evening meal), in May. The hotel is situated about 10 minutes up a hill out of the centre of town, near to Victor Hugo's house. The hotel has a beautiful tranquil and well kept lawned garden at the rear, with views down the Havelet Valley to the sea.... more

We stayed at the Pandora bank holiday weekend in May. We picked this hotel as it was close to friends who live in Guernsey. Luckily, we didn't spend much time in the room. Like a lot of hotels in Jersey & Guernsey, it is very dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. We had a room on the lower ground... more

The hotel were efficient in dealing with my intial booking enquiry and I had no trouble booking directly with the hotel. I stayed with a friend, we occupied two single rooms. These rooms were of an adequate size and had all required facilities. As described in the earlier reviews some of the decoration could do with a bit of an... more

We stayed 2 nights at the Pandora and arrived home yesterday. The thing that struck us most was how incredibly dated the rooms were. There was a grubby green carpet which had seen better days and years old looking pink wallpaper. The bathroom was a mix of avocado fittings and to be honest it could have been cleaner. None of... more

Guernsey in late November was wonderful - and the Pandora Hotel was the ideal location. The hotel is situated up one of the fairly steep roads out of St Peter Port - about 10 minutes' walk from the harbour area and shops. The building is characterful and homely, and, in summer, I imagine the gardens would be gorgeous - November... more

I stayed here for 10 nights as a solo traveller and the weather was lovely and warm. My single room was a reasonable size and althouth in the top part of the hotel I had a good view from my window, not of the sea but inland which was very pleasant. I stayed here on a half-board basis and the... more
