Avoid room 301 - we asked to be moved as we could not sleep due to the noise of the air conditioning fans near the room window. Staff were very helpful when contacted on the matter. We stayed for 7 nights on a B&B basis. The hotel is very central and somewhat old style with senior clientele. Breakfasts were good.... more
I am a Guernsey girl returning for a short break to visit friends. My husband and I stayed for three days in November 2007. Firstly the location is fabulous because of the central position. Everything is within walking distancek - great. But.... I feel that the hotel is sitting on its lorels because of this location. It is very much... more
Smoking is still permitted in the hotel rooms and even though I booked a non-smoking room, the room stank of stale cigarettes. There was no toilet paper and the TV reception was fuzzy. The curtains didn't fit the windows properly and my room overlooked a shopping street with fats/offices above so I had to hide to get dressed! The restaurant... more

Lovely room of good size and yes, occasionally it could be noisy at night if windows were open. Breakfast was excellent, the staff friendly, helpful and happy to chat. We didn't book an evening meal... more
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. We found the hotel ideally situated in the main shopping street of St Peter Port, a short walk from the marinas / harbour. We specifically wanted a very central hotel, as we were arriving by air and were not hiring a car. We dined in the hotel restaurant one evening - a... more

My parents stayed at Moore's for a week while my wife and two kids stayed at a nearby apartment. My parents have been to Guernsey many times and had eaten at Moore's restaurant. St. Peter Port is very hilly and my mother was worried about walking up steep hills with her bad legs. They decided to stay at Moore's because... more
