The double room we had was smaller than we expected - with only a double bed ( we are used to larger beds!). The prices was reasonable and the hotel clean and staff were pleasant and attentive. The en suite bathroom was absolute minimum size - I wonder that some of the larger sized tourists we saw in Guernsey would... More

We stayed with some friends for 3 nights last weekend. The hotel is in a good situation, easy walking distance to the town of St Peter Port with a lovely stroll along the front. The hotel is a little dated in terms of decor but is nonetheless very clean. It is excellent value for money. Breakfast was always good and... More

Occasionally I read reviews of accommodation and wonder if I stayed in the same place. This establishment is one. We arrived a day late after being stranded on Alderney and communicated with St George's to let them know what was happening. I found them to be very courteous and professional. We requested a sea view and yes there is some... More

My wife and I stayed for a week in August and were very satisfied with it. We had a nice room with a sea view. The rooms were clean, the breakfasts would satisfy any appetite and there were two good restaurants nearby for the evening meals.

What goes for Shetland ponies and Jersey cows appears to go for Guernsey b&b rooms as well: smaller then you would expect. The people were nice, sorry to be critical but fair. This type of b&b was old fashioned twenty years ago. The whole property covered in one brown carpet from top to bottom with a different smell on each... More

Good afternoon. I only deal in facts. First one, our cows are called Guernsey's. At the moment the euro is at a very low point so the exchange rate for Europeans is not good. This is hardly Guernsey's fault or mine for that matter, better you take it up with your own politicians rather than criticise us for having a... More

Just home from a short stay in this guest house. Great location (5 minutes walk from harbour and town) and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. We were able to check in (and our room was ready) by 11.00, room was on second floor, facing the road (main road on the island) so some traffic noise until late evening, it otherwise... More

Arrived early, greeted by a very helpful member of staff. We left our luggage and went off to explore. Upon returning to BB later, they had taken our luggage up to our room. A comfortable room with a lovely sea view. Breakfast was fab, lots of choice, cereals, juices, fruit, pastries of different varieties, which you could help yourself to,... More

We spent 4 nights in the St. Georges in St. Peter Port. It´s a B&B and we didn´t expect something special. Honestly in my opinion the prices are really high for that B&B. We had 2 rooms there in it was almost a bit more than 1.000,- Euros for all of us. I know Channel Islands are not cheap, but... More

Hello again. This is the second review you have written about St Georges and its very ill informed. If you are going to write reviews, better to get your facts right and do your research or speak to a staff member. Expensive in your opinion - in my opinion it is not. Fact is, there are only 4 guest houses... More

convenient location, on the sea front. Just a short walk with no hills from the ferry terminals. We had a very pleasant stay. Traffic noise not too much of a problem for us. The staff were very friendly and you only test helpfulness when something goes wrong, in my case leaving something behind. This was returned promptly and with no... More

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2015

Got off to an inauspicious start when our sea view room turned out to be an attic room with a small window in the corner. It was stuffy, so we had the window open, but a rainy night meant a lot of road noise, and together with the creaky bed meant we had a dreadful first night. However, weather improved... More

Hello Factual information for you and any one reading your review, the window is 6.5ft wide and 4.5ft deep. Or 77m x 53m for those who do metric. Not a small window for a house built in 1820 in my opinion. It does have beautiful views of the sea over Belle Greve bay but as the house is a traditional... More
