From our arrival when we were welcomed as soon as we entered to our departure where there were handshakes and hugs after only four days later we loved this place. The food was excellent. The accommodation was nothing special but clean , comfortable and well looked after. There are plenty of older guests and many obvious regulars - but we... more
This is a pleasant enough hotel which gives the impression of suffering from under-investment. The decor is dated and the pool area seemed neglected (the pool wasn't covered regulalrly at night and had accumulated some debris). The corridor signage was reminiscent of a conference centre, the rooms all have trouser presses (does anyone really use those things?) which gives an... more
I came here to work on Guernsey for a couple of days expecting a mediocre hotel as per most hotels I stay in these days. I was pleasantly surprised as I found this excellent value for money. The hotel is in a leafy location away from main roads and is delightfully quiet. The accommodation is of good quality - nice public and private rooms, and the... more

Didn't eat in restaurant except for breakfast as we were visiting relatives but ate in the bar one night. Food was excellent and again staff were very helpful even though... more
This is a very, very nice hotel. The rooms are a bit old fashioned but well equipped and clean. Quite spacious as well. The staff is very friendly and they are more than willing to help. The food is very good. Especially the croissants at breakfast. If you don't feel like eating in the dining room, I can recommend the... more
