We didnt stay there, but we had an excellent Sunday Lunch there. They had 2 good local real ales and a good wine list. The Sunday lunch from 1-3 courses was excellent quality & good value. The service was superb with typical Guernsey bon homie & friendliness. The local buses aren't freqeunt, but if you are good with timetables, one stops... More

My second visit to this beautifully renovated old establishment and was greeted by Sandra (Manageress) with a warm welcoming smile. The room provided this time was No 2 on the ground floor with the most wonderfully soft bed, a superb bathroom, flat screen TV, tea & coffee facilities and most of all peace and quite. The Tennerfest menus festival was... More

Wonderful meal in the fabulously decorated restaurant with a live musician preforming softy in the background. The room was pleasant, newly decorated in a neutral style with a few interesting pieces such as the retro lamps. The public areas, which are a tremendous mix of original features and shabby chic made for a lovely setting in which to relax. Busy... More

This hotel is traditionally decorated, is interesting and has a nice atmosphere. Our room was a good size, had everything we needed and again traditionally decorated (we liked it but if you want contemporary this isn't for you). Unfortunately we had a lot of problems with our shower in regards to getting a pleasant temperature (i.e. not freezing cold or... More

A pleasant hotel, lovely surroundings, with coastal walks nearby. Outdoor pool looked good although weather not warm enough to try it. Friendly staff and excellent service. Bed comfortable, food good and very well presented. House wines were good. Improvement on one or two little things would lift the hotel from 'very good' to 'excellent'. It would have been nice to... Accompanied my husband on a work trip. The room was nothing special, although clean and comfortable, we were dogged by a plumbing problem the first night which was very frustrating and made sleep hard to come by. Had one great evening meal in the restaurant (drinks very well priced, food delicious and nicely presented) and were happy with the breakfast... More

Went for lunch with the whole family and had a great meal. Very cheerful service and very good atmosphere. The food was excellently presented for pub food and price and was good value. It was a nice day so the garden table was particularly appropriate. The staff seem to work as a team rather than one server per table but... More

Booked a table here for 3 during our stay on the island, when we arrived no table had been reserved as requested. The Hotel had some sort of German evening taking place on the front lawn which looked popular. We were given a table near the bar and our drink order taken. 25 minutes later our drinks had still not... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in June 2013. The hotel is in a quiet area which we liked and the roads around it are narrow but we hired a car and managed fine. The area around is lovely with some beautiful cliff walks and great views. The hotel itself was good and we found all the staff to be... More

Booked via Islands Holidays we found a interesting house with comfortable furnishings, not modern but classic, of good design, with little places for various people to sit and have different experiences. Food and breakfast I could not fault, in fact I liked the kind of dry cooked bacon, no oil or fat swilling around. The bedroom had plenty of storage,... More
