We stayed at this Hotel for three nights in June and had the conservatory suite. The room was very comfortable and very clean although a little old fashioned with it's décor, depending on an Individuals taste obviously. Access to the Garden from the conservatory was like home from home and the view of the garden was lovely, very vell kept... more

What can i say from the moment i worked through the door and was welcomed by a smiling receptionist to the time i left i was made to feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble. My room was well appointed and cleaned to a high standard every day. Although i didn't eat in the Restaurant the comments i... more

We recently stayed at this hotel and always feel that the reception is where first impressions count. On this occasion we were met by a surly, rude and uninterested receptionist - no warming smile or cheery greeting here! We are both in our 70's and asked if someone could help take our cases upstairs - the receptionist said "no we... more

We have stayed at Le Friquet several times since our honeymoon in 1979. I lived next door as a child so the location is great for me. We can walk to church and walk to the Saumarez Park. It is a short drive to the beach or to town. We generally use the self-catering apartments when we stay at Le... more

Reception is where your stay begins and a friendly, enthusiastic welcome means a lot. We felt unvalued when we arrived. Not a good start. The waitresses were pleasant, however. Carvery was very average. You need a car if you're staying here, as it's 2 miles from town. It's not expensive, as 3nights for two is on offer, with one carvery... more

We last visited Guernsey in 2002 and having read previous reviews about Le Friquet Hotel wondered if we had made a huge mistake in our choice! However it was a pleasant surprise and quite the nicest hotel we have stayed in for some time. Our rooms were on the second floor, well decorated, clean and big enough for our needs.... more

Spent a week at Le Friquet, and would stay again. Good points: everywhere ( room, bathroom, restraunt, lounge etc) was very clean. Gardens were lovely. Staff on the whole were very friendly, in common with many hotels these days were from E Europe, but they were polite and helpful. Couldn't fault the breakfast, either cooked or from the buffett. Ate... more

Arrived in Guernsey on the 7th August 2009 and drove straight to the hotel. Upon arrival there was a long gravel drive with reasonable gardens up to the hotel. It was not obvious upon arrival as to what was the front or the back of the hotel. The receptionist was cool mannered and not over friendly. The reception area was... more
