Quality of the food lovely, but we had to ask for more sandwiches, more tea and jam and cream, (teeny pots of jam and very small dishes of cream) which meant searching for staff at least four times. Staff were lovely but need to be more present!

I have returned to this hotel on a number occasions and will certainly return. I love the hotel for it's seclusion as it is situated in a wooded valley, although you only have a 5 minute walk down to Rozel harbour and beach. Night time is fabulous and it is so quiet, with just the tinkling of the fountain which... More

My wife and I are in our late 60's but we deem ourselves active - we like to walk a lot. We selected this hotel from Australia without knowing anything about the geography of the island. So this hotel is in a lovely setting on a side of a steep hill or side of a small valley surrounded by trees.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a discounted deal. The hotel was excellent, as was the food. The staff were very attentive and helpful. It was difficult to find but we made it with some helpful directions from the hotel staff. Whenever we return to Jersey we will be saying here.

This is a rather belated review due to a family illness. I stayed at the hotel with my partner over the Easter weekend. It's fair to say that the hotel has much to recommend in terms of location, the restaurant is fine albeit choice of menu a little limited (I guess that's fair enough given it only has around 12... Thanks for taking the time to post a review. I was pleased to read you enjoyed your stay overall but a couple of your comments appear to miss the point a little. The reason for not including beverage trays in the rooms is so that we don't have to include it in the room rate and therefore the customer is... More

If you are looking for a luxurious break, you could not better this hotel. The food is superb - from the freshly cooked extensive breakfast menu, the lovely home made scones and cream tea and the imaginative and beautifully presented dinners. A particular mention for the staff. They were all a delight. Always ready to help and nothing was too much... More

We've stayed in Jersey many times over the past 30 years, but this is the first time at Chateau la Chaire. I'm also not one for writing on-line reviews (I think this is probably only my second), but felt the need to write a few words about our 5 night stay. This really is a lovely hotel. The room we... The hotel is situated in the quiet village at Rozel Bay. It is a very short walk from the bay in an excellent quiet location. A superb place to stay with excellent food and without exception the staff were brilliant. Check your map as the island has numerous small roads and if you have your route prepared the hotel will... We took advantage of a very good value winter break with free flights and hire car. After a bumpy landing we picked up an Avis hire car. The staff said that because of the short runway & a bump in the middle of the runway the landings are often like that! If you have a hire car pick the smallest... More

I booked this for my parent's Golden Wedding anniversary and they were delighted with everything. They stayed in the Suite, loved the furniture, said the room was super - could hear the birds singing. All located in a quiet bay with few people. Food was great and I must say as the booker, the hotel was superb with it's help... More
