We brought friends to celebrate a 'big' birthday and wanted to give them a special experience, we were fortunate with the weather for late April so we could sit on the terrace in warm sunshine to enjoy our excellent cream tea and a few drinks. The rooms were not only large but also beautifully furnished too, Dinner was much enjoyed... More

My wife and I stayed here between 20-24 April 2015 and we were mightily impressed with this hotel. It is situated in an achingly beautiful wooded valley, leading down to the picturesque Rozel harbour. We decided to book a superior room and it didn't disappoint. The service was second to none and the food and wine choices sublime. Indeed, we... More

It is obvious that the staff at this hotel enjoy their work and pass on their enthusiasm for this delightful hotel to all who stay here. It is lovely to stay somewhere where bedrooms are spacious, beds ultra comfortable, food is good and relaxation is assured. I will return.

Over the years we have be in awe of Chateau Le Chaire. When a deal came up that could mean that we could eventually stay we were delighted. We were greeted warmly by the receptionist and shown to our room. The decor downstairs was lovely, however, as we went upstairs the building looked tired and unloved. Our room and balcony... More

Thank you for your review following your recent stay. I was sorry to read that your experience was not as expected. The hot water is not quite as you were led to believe but simply that as an old house the facilities can suffer on occasion when the resources are strained. The spa baths in bedrooms are quite large and... More

Absolutely superb; both double rooms were fantastic, spotlessly clean and luxurious. The staff were excellent friendly and caring and the meals were first class. Staying at Chateau La Chaire is a real treat and very highly recommended.

Stayed with my wife for three nights half board. Lots of excellent attentive staff. Lovely food but wine a bit expensive e.g. £23 for a Chilean obtainable from supermarket at about £6. Try walking up the road into the valley to see some wonderful plants!

A bit of an exaggeration to call it a Chateau but it is a lovely old country house set in beautiful grounds. The downside inevitably is that there are a lot of steps, inside and out and no concessions for the mobility challenged whatsoever. The service though is impeccable and our half board package included wonderful breakfasts where you can... More

This is a beautiful hotel. Clean, friendly and tucked away on a quiet country lane, two minutes walk to the gorgeous Rozel bay, with its beach and harbour. The bus route is good so it's easy to get around the rest of the island. The food is delicious, superb selection, fresh and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the local... More

Stayed here last weekend using a Voucher - birthday treat from my daughter, who lives in Jersey. It is lovely, like stepping back in time a little, but with all modern facilities. Room on second floor in the eaves, which was a slight disappointment for my daughter who wouldn't tell me the cost of our stay. Lovely wood panelled bar,... More

We booked a 3 night weekend break to celebrate a friend's special birthday following another friend's recommendation at this small mid 19th century chateau and we were not disappointed. It only has 14 rooms and is set in 8 acres of gardens over looking the small bay. We were welcomed with sherry and port whilst we checked in and found... More
