We stayed here for our final night in Jersey and were thoroughly pleased with the hotel. Staff at reception on arrival were very friendly and informative and we checked into our room to find it spacious and comfortable with an adequate bathroom. The rooms are clean - décor could probably do with updating but was nonetheless fine for our needs.... More

We went to the Monterey for the fifth or sixth time last week and were greeted by the staff as if we were if were old friends.Every member of staff was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There is entertainment on a couple of evenings but this ends a little too early. The hotel itself is fairly central to St... This hotel, an easy 10 to 15 minutes stroll into the town centre, hit all the right spots. Our room was spacious and very clean. The staff at all levels were extremely friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was brilliant self-service or direct from the kitchen] and both the restaurant & bar menus very good & reasonably priced. A pint of... More

Travelled September 2014 with wife & adult daughters. Staff very helpful & friendly. Breakfast & bar food excellent. W ifi good. No air con. Bedrooms dated and too warm. Poor ventilation. Bathroom small. Thin walls. 10 min walk to town convenient. Bar prices expensive but may be ok for Jersey overall. Pool & spa nice touch.

The hotel was spacious and clean. It had good facilities - a gym, steam room, indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzi. It was in an ideal location to go to supermarkets for water and snacks. It was easy enough to walk to the town centre and marina and beach from the hotel. When returning back from the town centre, look... More

We stayed at this hotel for a week whilst on holiday in Jersey. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff at the hotel were polite, friendly and very helpful. They treated our toddler like royalty which made our stay all the more enjoyable. The only slight negative was that the room was not air conditioned so got fairly warm.... More

Stayed for 3 nights in ground floor room 104, which led out to the small outdoor pool area, so very handy if you fancied a swim or to relax on the sunbeds provided. All areas of the hotel seen were very clean and all the staff we met were very polite and provided excellent service. Our room was a good... More

We got to the Monterey hotel around 1620 and I had to fill in a form at check in and unfortunately you have to tell then what time you want your dinner each day. The lady receptionist was very friendly. The only time available that day was 1815. Too early to eat. We were in room 206 on the first... More

Other hotels should send their front of house teams to the Monterey dining room to find out how it's done: Faultless! Our room was a good size, clean and well equipped. Food was excellent according to the hotel grading; if you want a treat head for the 'Oyster Box' but check that your wallet's full first. Overall: A great stay... More
