Excellent hotel, very clean and well decorated Reception, porters, waiters and cleaners all very helpful, friendly and polite Food - very good for breakfast and Aroma (although service in Aroma was dreadful) Room was clean, large and airy, sea view although we didn't request one 20-25 minute walk into centre and harbour Spa was beautiful Would definitely return to this... more

Fantastic Hotel. I agree with every good comment made earlier and it exceeded my expectations. The staff are terrific, all very helpful and friendly. Spa is beautiful. Food in the cafe Aroma was superb, drinks/wine prices very reasonable for a large hotel. Breakfast amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. There are some great restaurants in town, The Atlantique does superb... more

but make sure that there isn't a wedding function going on until the early hours. to be fair we were warned the evening before, but you never quite know how these things are going to affect your sleep until you experience it, in hindsight my husband and I would have taken the option of moving rooms mid-stay. however, i would... more

Hotel is a good conference centre and we stayed on for a few days holiday. Infinity indoor pool with massage pools and sauna are wonderful. Hotel staff very helpful. Downside was the lack of a proper hotel restaurant - we ate in Saffrons (sort of Indian fish place) very expensive and not good if you are nunless you are keen... more

We chose this hotel primarily because it had an indoor pool (for the children), and also because it was offering a very good deal on a family room (£139 per night for bed and full breakfast). Location: on the eastern outskirts of St Helier (look for signs to the A7), rather oddly, behind a medical centre. There is quite a... more

A little bit out of the centre of St.Helier but a great large hotel. Public areas really good and rooms large, albeit could do with some more soft furnishings. Customer Services especially and staff in general very helpful. Breakfast slightly disappointing in the quality of the produce. Would stay there again very willingly ! more

The Hotel de France is our home from home. We've been there 10 times now and are never disappointed. Ask for a sea view room as they don't charge extra. Breakfast is huge so you don't need to eat lunch. Meals in the posher hotel restaurant aren't huge but that what you get in that sort of restaurant anyway... Local... more

We have just returned from a week in Jersey, and we stayed at the Hotel de France. From the moment we walked in the doors we knew we were onto a good start, the hotel hall and entrance is superb, and if you are lucky enough to meet "Victor" , what a charming man. We were a family of 5,... more

Hotel de France is a lovely hotel, good size rooms and clean. However, the stay was not without problems - but problems were all sorted as they arose. We had made a telephoned request for a sea view room as it was a special occasion but there was no record of this and we got a rear facing fairly dark... more

Stayed at the De France last year and was disappointed with the service and the evening meals. However gave the hotel another chance and things have considerably improved, possibly due to the competition from the SAS Radisson and the upgraded Grand Hotel and the Royal Yacht. I paid a supplement for a balcony room that had great views over St... more
