This is a very basic guest house with older decor and seemingly little investment in updating or renovating the premises, bedding, furniture and bathrooms. Knowing that Jersey is expensive, we were still disappointed by the value we received for the expense of staying here. It appeared to be popular with some guests who seemed to be regular patrons. It is... More

Our second visit here was greeted with our first names (my dad (78 years young) was so happy and comfortable here -i say friendly and affordable he says friendly, no heirs and graces. Only problem is they get booked quickly (repeat customers) - the Greek Restaurant here is very good value for money and feels very personal it is so... More

It is what it is, a basic guest house. Do not expect too much and you will not be disappointed. Very clean room, we had Room 15 which is probably the best one available. Had a fantastic balcony with seats to enjoy the supurb view. This guest house is let down by the failure to provide tea and coffee making... More

This is not a hotel but a very dated guest house. The decor has not been updated since about 1970 with mismatching carpets and black toilets seats to take you back to school days. The 'bathroom' was more of a broom cupboard. No tea or coffee but a kettle and mugs in the room was very bizarre. Not sure where... More

Waterfront location, friendly welcome, room clean and comfortable. With a cereal choice and hot course plus toast, the inclusive breakfast was filling and prepares one or a day exploring the island. Evening service in the Greek style restaurant was slow, possibly as a solo dinner when a group were in. A Greek meze is available, but only on certain dates... More

3 days was enough in this "hotel". We stayed in room 3 with a sea view. The room was horrible and the position of the furniture made moving difficult. A toilet and shower have been squeezed into a cupboard like space with a basin in the bedroom. Horrible heavy duvet, polyester bedding, thin pillows with no protectors. Unable to use... More

This guest house is in a gorgeous location directly opposite the sea and the bay's natural swimming pool. Considering the lovely spot it sits on, shame its in need of a lot of TLC. The layout of our room made no sense and made it seem cramped and shoved together. By 11am there was no hot water for a shower.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during the April half term. We were lucky to have one of the best views of the hotel by having the room on the top floor with patio doors and a balcony. The whole wall was window and was so nice lying in bed and watching the sea. Room was clean, warm and staff... More

This was the first time we have stayed at The De L'etang, what lovely hosts Rebecca and John are, nothing was too much trouble, they made you feel as if you were the only guests in the hotel, the staff were lovely, so hard working and always service with a smile. The food which was cooked by John himself was delish,... More

Just returned from a short break at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is fabulous. We ate here most nights, as having tried another restaurant along the promenade, the food quality and cost could not compare to De Letang. We had a seaview room which was lovely, only thing i would suggest is that they... More
