While staying in jersey we had a wonderful evening meal here. The food was very good with a good choice available. The staff very well trained. Prices were perhaps on the high side. Good parking in a nice location with good views of the sea. Would highly recommend .

My husband and I were taking a 93 year old, but in her time, well travelled parent to Jersey - possibly the last trip abroad for her. I had telephoned the Big Chain hotel which was offering Sea View on Booking.com. They were completely unhelpful on proximity of rooms, or even proximity to lift. The Shakespeare's Man on the Phone... The room we had on the second floor was good apart from the bed sprung matress... BOING. But the views were fantastic from the bedroom (room 40). The hotel is showing some slight signs of tiredness and maybe needs some modernisation. We were there for three nights bed and breakfast. Be sure to tell the staff what you want when... More

Went here for dinner on Mother's Day with my mum and Grandparents. Set menu of a four course dinner for £19.95 per person. The choice was great, I had roast beef and pork combination. Silver service was very good, waiters and waitresses excellent. Cannot fault the service and the food was delish. Went away very full and very happy. Tip:... More

We stayed here over the weekend whilst attending a family wedding. Although I agree with some of the comments about the rooms needing to be updated, they were spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were friendly and really helpful and the breakfasts were really good. A couple of small complaints, the noise from the... More

We have just returned from a short break on Jersey with our 2 teenage daughters. We chose the Shakespeare as there was on site parking for the car (which seems rare in Jersey) and a family room (also something we had trouble finding). The room had bunk beds which was plenty big enough for the four of us. All the... More

On the whole, my disabled mother and I enjoyed our stay here. However, I chose this hotel largely due to the fact that I was led to believe that the disabled features of the hotel were suitable for mum. On arrival, mum had to encounter steps to the front door and another inside before reaching reception. We later found out... More

Having just returned fro a weeks holiday with my family, I want to say thank you to the staff at the hotel who were very helpful with my elderly mother. Food was great, beach just opposite (down a few stairs) was a wecome for the kids to play and we were lucky enough to have had good warm weather. The... More

We stayed here for 15 nights in September, 3 Adults including a wheelchair user. This hotel was chosen by us because of the good reviews. However, after staying there, I have to wonder if this is the same hotel that the reviewers were talking about. Because of my Mum's disabilities we had to have a family room, so we could... More

Stayed the night on a "locals special deal"- the staff are very nice, bar and dining rooms quite pleasant - then we were given our key to our room. Like going back to the early 80s - very old bed with springs that kept "boinging" when you moved, very flat feather pillows, not much space with a terrible view of... More
