The Receptionests Were very helpful when we asked them where the best place the kids could have fun in Jersey and they told is the Amazin... more

We stayed here for 4 days for an 80th birthday celebration. The hotel is nice but very very old fashioned - it is very 1960's decorated and a little shabby. However, it was very clean and the staff were nice, although they forgot to order our morning paper! The breakfast is lovely and the dining room has a lovely view... more

We go back to the hotel year after year, often with different friends and family. The service is excellent, food and wine great and pool fantastic and never overcrowded - as is accessibility to some great walks and beaches. What make this hotel stand out from the rest is the friendliness and quality service and we relax the minute we... more

The Portelet is an excellent base and service is efficient. Rooms are spotless and comfortable and food is good, with breakfast/dinner in a huge dining room with very kind and helpful staff. But it is very out of date - vintage 60's - and is evidently very popular with the elderly. more

We've just come back from a 4 night break in Jersey staying at the Portelet Hotel, and agree with previous reviews in that this hotel is very old fashioned. It reminded us of hotels as described in Agatha Christie novels! Mind you, we couldnt fault the service and cleanliness. Service is brilliant, room was very clean and the beds were... more

We stayed over the August Bank holiday weekend, which was a busy period for the hotel. The hotel was easy to find and not really off the beaten track so much! The are two very nice family pubs within walking distance and we particulaly liked the The Old Portelet Inn (lunch untill 2.30pm, Dinner from 6pm) the menu at the... more

This is very traditional hotel, with decor, fittings and entertainment straight out of the 1950s and a clientele that also reflects that era. Although we are in our 50s we felt were just about the youngest and trendiest people there! At breakfast the dining room was a sea of grey and beige! The hotel has a very large number of... more
