This is the nicest place to stay and eat in the area. It does not disappoint. I had a great stay and the food was a big win. There was live music and everyone was very friendly as is always the case in this beautiful part of the country.

We booked at the Commodore as friends of ours where coming in from Australia for the Loretta Lynn Motocross meet. I new by reading the reviews on TripAdvisor that this wasn't the best hotel, nor the worst, but for what it worth; here's my review. First I should mention that I called twice to check on our reservation and both... More

We booked this hotel because it was recommended by Natchez Trace travelers. It's fairly far from the Trace. Our room was nice. There was an in-room air conditioner so that we could control the temperature ourselves. This helped block out any noise from the outside, too. I love the history and refurbishing of old buildings. This hotel is getting there.... More

The Commodore is worth a side trip if you're vacationing anywhere in the vicinity. The meals are outstanding--5-star--and owners Kathy and her husband will do anything they can to make your visit enjoyable...including providing services which are not offered [which I won't delineate here to prevent putting them in a bind]. Not only has each of the 12 rooms of... More

I would give this hotel 3.5 stars. I picked it based on its website, the Tripadvisor reviews, and the fact that I wanted to support a local, small business rather than a hotel chain. We stayed for one night in December during a roadtrip around Tennessee, and went out of our way to come here. I very much wanted to... More

We reserved all 12 rooms of the hotel for our son's Tennessee Country Wedding. It was ideal for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The dining area and conference room were perfect for our family gathering. It is clean and well cared for. It is an older historical building so there were minor details like one room needed... I chose this hotel because of the description, past positive reviews and the allure of a charming, historical hotel. I was underwhelmed and disappointed because the problem with this hotel is so fixable. First of all it is a historical hotel that could be oh so charming. The problem seems to be first and foremost with the management. My room... More

By far one of our favorite stays while driving across the country. The hotel was quiet and relaxing, the staff was helpful and laid back, and the room was clean and comfortable. We wanted to go to The Farm in Summertown,TN. Kathy was very helpful to get us in contact with the place. After many hours researching hotels for my... More

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at the Commodore Hotel after watching a television show about the renovation. It was everything we expected, and the hotel web site and brochures accurately depict the rooms and furnishings. Nice, spacious rooms – at least ours, and the ones we could peek into that had open doors. There are king, queen and a couple... More

First, you should know that this was off-off season, so things might have been a little different than in peak season. I found this little gem of an historic hotel through Groupon and very glad I did. We booked both a regular room and suite and both were spotlessly clean and comfortably furnished. Bathrooms were roomy and well appointed. Minor... More
