Everything positive that can be said about lodging and meals would apply to Glin Castle. The grounds and garden are magnificient. Bob Duff was wonderful in helping us celebrate a friend's 60th birthday. The dinner, while pricey, was superb. The service of the staff and the incredible room in which we stayed left nothing to be desired. more

You know you are going to treated to a very special time when you drive through the gates of Glin. It is simply lovely. The tree lined drive works its magic to melt the stress away. It is unassuming when you approach - the entrance belies what is waiting. While it is not one of the largest castle/hotels (we have... more

Glin Castle is a true historic treasure. This hotel is not for everyone and I'm serious. If you enjoy history and a feeling of owning an estate in Ireland with an amazing staff this is the place to stay. A Georgian Masterpiece with a feeling of home. The castle is in the country, about 32 miles south of Limerick City... more

We stayed at Glin Castle as a special treat for one night. It lived up to our expectations - which were pretty high after reading all teh positive reviews! We had booked the 'early season' deal and we were upgraded from a standard room to a four poster delux in the main castle... and it was fantastic! The bed was... more

Glin castle really is amazing. If you are willing to make the drive through the winding roads of Ireland (which is part of the fun) you won't be disappointed. We were met as we pulled up and taken to our humongous rooms and I can't stress that enough they were huge, the bathrooms were the size of some hotel rooms... more

My 18 year old son and 14 year old daughter stayed at Glinn for two nights and it was nothing short of excellent! When we arrived the staff came out to our car and already knew our names upon greeting us. It is a small staff and they are all very personable. Don't let the somewhat dull exterior fool you...the... more

Glin Castle is a magical place and was a perfect location for my father's 85th birthday celebration. It is steeped in history and no two rooms are alike. The rooms we had were all enormous and had fabulous views over the garden and river. I stayed in the Yellow Crown bedroom. My bedroom and bathroom were huge as were the... more

although we were only able to stay at glin castle for one night, we arrived early and were greeted warmly. The grounds are gorgeous, the service is impecable, and the food is delicious. We had romantic walks in the walled garden and the woods, and we had dinner at the castle, which was not only delicious but also so warm... more

We had an overnight flight that arrived at 6:00am so we arrived at Glin at 8:30am. We didn't expect to check in (normal check in time is 3:00pm) but wanted to make sure we found the castle first before doing anything else. We were greeted by a lovely woman (forget her name regrettably) who offered to put us in a... more
