Glin Castle has such an understated elegance. Very refined, quiet and graceful. We have dined here a few times and have always had the best experience. Desmond, the Knight of Glin, was a most gracious host and the recent staff has carried on the tradition. Prior to our seating, we were served wine in the main room, in front of... More

This by far was one of the highlights of out trip. We stayed in the yellow room. It is a wonderful place to stay. We sat down with the current owner of Glin who tols us wonderful stories. We had the nicest waiter who made us feel so special. I would enjoy going back if only for the day.

This fine establishment holds some of the finest memories from our honeymoon trip. Stepping from the car we were greeted by the most gracious staff and were swept into what still feels almost a dream. We were shown to the gardens and given wine so that we could relax from our travels while they took care of our gear. Lovely... More

We arrived at 6am after a 6 hour flight knowing our reservations weren't until 2 that afternoon. The front door opened as we drove up and we were welcomed by the friendliest of staff, offered an English breakfast and after filling our bellies, brought immediately to our room where we slept in the hush of the peaceful Irish countryside. Spectacular... More

Our last two nights in Ireland were spent at Glin Castle. We had enjoyed a number of Manor Houses throughout Ireland and felt spoiled while staying at Glin. We traveled in late Sept and were joined by only a few other quests those two nights. The service was excellent but also reserved enough to let us enjoy ourselves in the... More

Been to Glin Castle twice. We had a great time both stays. Location is not the best if you are golfing, but it was close enough. The servuce was always great. The food our second stay was sup par but the first time it was as good as anywhere. Glin might not be for everyone but my family and I... More

We live approximately a half hour from Glin Castle so therefore we did not stay!! We did in fact book dinner there last night for 8 ladies! It was one of the groups birthday two days beforehand so I called Glin Castle on the day we were going for dinner and spoke to a lovely lady explaining about the birthday... More

We just returned from Ireland and our favorite stay by far was Glin Castle. Arriving early on a wet and dreary afternoon, the staff immediately lit a fire in the drawing room for us and brought us tea. I had stayed at Glin Castle a few years ago while in Ireland on business and could not wait for my husband... More

We only stayed one night at the castle, but it was truly a memorable stay! We felt that we had to stay at least one night in a castle while in Ireland to get the full Irish experience and after reading through the various options on TA, chose this castle (for its price and intimacy). By the way, we stopped... More

I have stayed at and visited Glin Castle a number of times since I first made its acquaintance years ago. The castle is filled with centuries of history, magnificent plasterwork, and the finest collection of 18th century and paintings. This is the ancestral home of the Knight of Glin and what a treat it is to be his "guest"! The... More
