Rathsallagh is one of the coziest and most welcoming places I've found in Ireland. The house itself is great - the drawing rooms had roaring log fires and comfortable couches, and were a perfect venue for afternoon tea with the newspapers. Our room was spacious, with a really good bed and bathroom (if I had anything negative to say, it... More

We stayed here for one night and were overall impressed with this hotel. Service of the staff was possibly the best Ive ever encountered . Nothing was too much trouble and everything we could have wanted was anticipated. In the restairant my wife had to send back the beef to be cooked a little more to her liking which took 5... More

We visited Rathsallagh for a winter break, and were blown away by the experience. The interior of the house is as quaint and charming as the exterior suggests; we loved the way the accommodation feels like the interior of a family home and not at all like an exclusive hotel. Our room was comfortable and cosy - I'm a bit... More

Thank you for as great review. It is really wonderful when a guest manages to feel the soul of Rathsallagh and gets totally immersed as you did. We like to say Rathsallagh House " Not a Hotel " and again you found that essence in the place. We are glad you found the drawing rooms, for some reason "presently surprised"... More

We held an intimate family wedding in Rathsallagh House in early January and we could not have asked for a more perfect day. From the minute we arrived, we were so warmly welcomed and everything seemed to flow with such ease throughout the day. Venue: The setting for wedding blessing in the “Orangery” was perfect for our wedding for 70... More

Dear Avril and Darren Thank you for a super review. We are simply thrilled that Rathsallagh worked its magic for you on your wedding day. What a great atmosphere there was about the place that day, a great mix of Irish and Australian guests. Orla is amazing on the harp isn't she, really beautiful singing voice as well. We hope... More

We stayed on a package deal for a standard B&B which included €30 dinner voucher and two glasses of champagne. We were pleasantly surprised when we were shown to our room as it was not a standard room. We stayed in the Kilbarry room which was more like the honeymoon suite. We had our own private lounge with fireplace. The... More

From the first day we visited Rathsallagh to check it out as a wedding venue, we felt at home and didn't want to leave. It is a magical place, only an hour for Dublin and situated in rolling green countryside, with beautiful landscaped gardens. The wedding planner Catherine and her team worked with us to personalise our wedding. Their attention... More

Hi Celine and Greg. Thank you for writing a great review, we will never forget your wedding here, you were all such great fun and gracious to a tee. It was probably one of the more unusual weddings we have had with the two of you riding to your reception on horse back, what a wonderful sight that was. The... More

The words on everyone’s lips after our wedding at Rathsallagh were ‘magical’ and ‘romantic’. Right from the very first enquiry to Rathsallagh, they were professional yet friendly and effortlessly arranged our wedding without fuss. Once we visited and saw the orangery – we were sold. The wedding coordinators anticipated our every need and efficiently took control if the situation demanded.... More

Travelled down here for a wedding and I have to say WHAT A PLACE!! The could not do enough from us. Directed us where to park, took the luggage to the room and told us not to bother going to reception until we needed to. Place is full of nooks and crannies and the dining room was really christmassy. The... More

Thank you for a really lovely and positive review. As you can see from the review below sometimes the wheels fall of the wagon and we have to put our hands up and learn from it. But you know it was a great pleasure looking after you all and we are delighted that Rathsallagh was able to work its magic... More

We arrived for a one night stay in Rathsallagh last Saturday night Dec 03rd. Initially we had thought of it as a possible wedding location and since we seen an offer on a website we decided to take a look for ourselves as we heard marvellous things about it. We arrived and were greeted by a very nice lady at... More

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. You were visiting us on one of these fantastic Pigs Back deals where you paid €120 instead of €265 for B&B for two people including Champagne and a €30 dining voucher, notwithstanding that all of our guests are precious to us and we are utterly disappointed that you... Just back from a two night stay in rathsallagh for a friends wedding. The house itself is wonderfully charming, warm & inviting, with old worlde decor that thankfully never was modernised. You really get the feeling your sinking into a bit of heaven when you arrive here. The many lounges with their open fireplaces, Christmas trees & garlands made it... More

Thank you for a fantastic review, it was a lot of fun serving you all. As you know I carved the meat for you all myself and that provided a great opportunity to meet all the guests individually. I did note a lot of the guests came over from France and so we knew that the food at Rathsallagh had... More
