Stayed here in March for my wife's birthday. It was a lovely treat, made a bit more affordable by a voucher bought on beddeals.ie . Rathsallagh is a beautiful old country house hotel, in a really scenic part of the country. We stayed in a courtyard room and it was lovely. Good size room, large bed, warm and a lovely... More

Hubby booked this as a surprise for our first anniversary and I just want to go back and relive the whole 24 hr experience. This place is a hidden gem and an absolute delight, We stayed in the Killbarry room, which has its own private sitting room. Up arrival after settling in we were greeted over in the main house... We stayed here at the end of March and thoroughly enjoyed our night away. I was lucky enough to buy one of the beddeals vouchers and it was incredible value. The hotel itself is old world but I would MUCH rather this than a modern hotel with no character or charm. We stayed in the green room (I think), a... More

We are thrilled that you appreciated the old Country House feel of Rathsallagh, we are not classed / registered as a Hotel but even so we try to keep our standards high. Thank you also for the comments on our grounds, over 500 acres of them, I hope you... More

We stayed here for a family wedding and it was the most amazing night. We had a courtyard room which had a huge bed and lovely bathroom. I could see how some of the original rooms in the house could be seen as a bit dated but I think its a bit of its charm, The most impressive thing about... More

We went to this hotel as part of a Friday night deal which made this as cheap as many far lower quality hotels and we were blown away by the location, room and general ambiance. It's an old country house style hotel which apparently is not to the taste of other reviewers but the age is part of the charm... More

Thank you for a lovely review, we are so glad you enjoyed our location, hard to believe really that we are less than an hour from the center of Dublin. Rathsallagh is indeed old, the house itself dates back to around 1600, however there are records of a settlement here going back to the 5th century !. . I am... More

Thank you for a lovely review, we are delighted you found Rathsallagh so relaxing and friendly, apologies about the road signage however, we do our best with the local county council. Next time you are here for a visit ask for the Blue, Overarch or Romantic rooms, you can see out over the lawn to the golf course from these.... More

We are so pleased that your family stay in Rathsallagh worked out and that you enjoyed our home, and thank you for taking the time to write about it here. The Romantic Room is in a part of the house that dates back to around 1600, it was a loft back then with horses underneath, when the main house –... More

Thank you for a short and very sweet review. Interesting recommendation you make about staying in the courtyard, these are new rooms, in excess of 45sqm in size with doubled ended baths, walk in power showers and double sinks, might be a good recommendation for Mr D H above you here if he ever gets to really stay with us.... There is still an Ireland that is elegant, yet welcoming, that combines stunning heritage buildings with maximum guest comfort and makes its guests feel truly welcome...This is Rathsallagh House. Our first visit to this special place saw Wicklow looking at its verdant Spring best. Thank you for a lovely review, we are delighted you enjoyed Rathsallagh. The Rose cottage is indeed lovely, its opposite the Apricot and both look out into the walled garden. This was our third trip to Rathsallagh as we had also been there for our anniversary in October 2011. We love the place and relax and unwind as soon as we drive into the grounds. We... More
