5th time. Was last there in the middle of winter in late December last year. We went with 2 friends this time for a mid-week break to sample the 10 course tasting menu (different on both nights). Absolutely wonderful - tomato and basil consomme (tomatoes collected from the greenhouse that morning) right through to lobster, lamb, cashel blue cheese sorbet!!!... more

We stayed here for two nights for a wedding. It was a beautiful hotel, stunning grounds, beautiful rooms. It has real charcater, staff are lovely, breakfast was brilliant, food was amazing. They really did a fantastic wedding. We saw several rooms and they were all lovely, all individual with their own character. We had a terrific stay here. The bathroom... more

Rathsallagh House is actually not a Hotel at all, not even registered as such. We are a working farm set on over 500 acres in the middle of the country side, with wild deer, fox, badgers, birds bees ( yes we produce our own honey ) and of course the hens which provide our guests with free range eggs which...

We have just returned from Rathsallagh after attending a wedding. From the time you arrive the attention you are given by the staff is excellent. The food was magnificent and the only downfall was there was no choice of draught beers. If you want to relax and be waited on "hand and foot" this is the place for you. more

I've just returned from a wedding at Rathsallagh and I have to say it was outstanding in every detail. Guests were received to the house with a champagne and canape reception, to which there seemed to be no end. The canapes were expertly made, varied well in flavours and were also in very plentiful supply. Staff were exceedingly pleasant and... more

I was invited by a friend to stay one night at the Rathsallagh House. I think that this hotel is outstanding in every sense of the word. We were welcomed by the owner who showed us around the place, which is very big as there is a golf club connected to it. He told us that many people stay at... more

This place is heaven! If ever you wanted to head off somewhere and feel like you were completely away from the world, this is your place. The food is outstanding and only complimented by the staff who serve it. Every person we came across over our weekend here, guests and staff alike, were unbelieveably nice and friendly, its just that... more

We went here in november 2007. The house is in a beautiful location. The dinner is very good, as is the breakfast. Our bedroom resembled a dolls house. My wife and I found it pretty funny. Saying that it was comfortable and clean. One drawback was the bar. Its so cold and small. You can buy drinks and bring them... more

My wife and I stayed here last October and had a wonderful time. We arrived on a cold Friday evening and received a wonderful warm welcome from the staff as we were checked in. Our room, the Lily room was huge, beautiful and comfortable - we had a huge bathrom with walk in shower [which my wife still raves about].... more

Have just returned after a weekend in Rathsallagh. What an experience! When I booked the holiday originally, I mentioned it was for an engagement present to my fiance and they immediately offered to put us in the Blue Room which is also the Bridal Suite! Naturally we accepted the offer....On driving into the grounds and seeing the property, you know... more

I have had the good fortune to stay at Rathsallagh on 3 occasions and each time my desire to return (as quickly as possible) has not diminished. A precis of my last visit (just before New Years). We arrived on a cold foggy Irish afternoon but were guided up the long drive by twinkling fairy lights. We were offered a... more
