Met with friends on Friday for lunch at Tinakilly country house. I was there only a few weeks ago, my experience back then was not the greatest, but as friends of mine are getting married there in a few weeks they wanted to try the hotel out as secret shoppers so they invited me along as I have the pleasure... Had lunch here with family recently. The house itself is lovely with a super gardens to sit out on a sunny day. The Sunday lunch is very good value at less than €20 for two courses. The food though is average at best. The starters were just ok while the mains were a little disappointing also. We were asked how... More

We held our wedding on a Friday in July 2014 at Tinakilly House. Denis, Frankie, Michael, Ryan, Tom and all the staff - notable mention to Jolene on reception- made us feel so so welcome. It felt more like we were staying with generous cousins than in a hotel. Every need was anticipated, every request catered for- if you want... More

Last Decembre I booked a room for August. One month before my arrival, and after 7 months of doing the reservation, they cancel it because of overbooking. And the room was paid in Decembre! It is incredible that now I have to look for a hotel in the middle of high season!!!!

I just loved this place, so peaceful. We were upgraded to a suite for no reason at all. The suite was HUGE , it was on the ground floor with a view of the gardens and the sea in the distance. Everything was perfect, we even got a robe and slippers. I slept better than I usually do , bed... More

I stayed the weekend of the 12th and 13th of this month with my Girlfriend and had a brilliant experience of the hotel and Facilities . The afternoon tea and 3 course meal both days were excellent and we both had booked treatments the first day and had the most relaxing experience and the girls in the treatment room could... More

I travelled from Kilkenny in early June to Tinakilly house on hearing great reviews from a number of friends who had beauty treatments here. I was amazed with the level of service the girls were excellent and tended to all my needs. I had a manicure and pedicure including the calus peel. As a person who suffers with sore skin... More

Partner had surprised me with a weekend away in Ireland and, to add on to that, with a full day of pampering too! I arrived to the place around 12 o'clock and was welcomed with a massive smile from one of the staff. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't one of those 'I have to smile so I will' type... More

Visited Tinakilly for a girls day out with two of my friends and had one of the worst experiences in a 4 star hotel ever. It's a lovely setting, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. We booked in for treatments and afternoon tea. When booking the treatments I explained to the lady that the 3 of... More
