We stayed last minute in Laragh. Basically had hiked the day and didn't want to drive any farther for the night. Their regular rooms were full but the room we were given wasn't bad. Clean bathroom and bed. Don't think our room had been used in a while, had a few spider webs on the walls. Reasonable price, wonderful breakfast... More

My wife and I took our three youngest of five sons to Ireland in January of 2014 . We decided to drive from Dublin to Achill along the coast and do as much hiking as possible . We stopped here just by chance and I feel we hit the lottery ! We wanted to hike in The area and found... More

Three friends and myself spent a night here last weekend and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Ericka the lady working there was so welcoming and helpful, she couldn't do enough for us We were collected for dinner and taken to the restaurant The Wicklow Heather which was also excellent. The staff were terrific service great and food faultless. After... More

Myself and three friends stayed here on Sat 25th April 2015. I cannot praise it enough...excellent service hosted by the lovely Erica. She couldn't do enough for us. It was a very wet day and she dried all our gear after the hike. Coffee and tea available all day in the lovely sitting room. We then went to dinner in... More

We recently stayed at this beautiful lodge with my 2 year old daughter for a couple of nights. Erica greeted us on our arrival and was wonderful, she couldn't do enough for us and changed us to a larger room upstairs which had an amazing view overlooking the mountains. Our room was comfortable, clean and very adequate and my daughter... More

Myself and my wife spent one night in Trooperstown Wood Lodge recently, as a little treat to ourselves. We were welcomed by Erica, the manager, who is extremely friendly and welcoming. Our room was beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. I would compare the quality of the rooms with any 5 star hotel. Downstairs, there are 2 living room areas, one... More

Just spent a lovely relaxing night here. Most welcoming and charming lady Erica took care of us and nothing was a problem . Could not fault a thing except the cold weather outside. Intend to visit soon again. Would highly recommend . We availed of the deal which included evening meal and breakfast. Food was first class.

We stayed here one night. Our room was lovely, great hair dryer and other amenities in room. The grounds were nicely kept. The bed was comfortable plus the breakfast was one of the most charming we had during our week in Ireland.

Apologies for being so late with this. I stayed in the annex in Trooperstown with my two pooches in August, whilst visiting friends. The annex itself was very comfortable and private, it had everything we needed. Erika was the manager of the b&b and works like a Trojan, that girl is a star and like other reviews have said, nothing... More

We booked into Trooperstown Lodge on a very busy weekend. We were met by Erika who is an excellent front of house. Warm, welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Bathroom was generously proportioned. And warm.. exactly what we needed after getting caught in the rain. Despite being a little distance...
