We stayed here for a couple of nights in the autumn and I’m so glad we did, we would wholeheartedly recommended it to everyone. It is a charming B&D just outside of Laragh in the Wicklow mountains with easy access to Glendalough National Park. Our room was charismatic, clean and had a beautiful view of the mountains and pretty grounds.... More

We were told about this guest house by the very helpful lady in the Avoka tourist office. It was in a very nice, secluded location just outside of the village. We were greeted by a lovely lady who welcomed us as though we were regular guests. The house was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. The room we were in was... More

We were uncertain about booking a small lodge (B&B) in an area that is not a frequently visited by Americans as the West Coast of Ireland. The area was stunning- particularly with the fall colors. Trooperstown was a great value - a lovely place and Erika was a fantastic hostess who was very attentive and helpful. The restaurant offered great... More

We had a wonderful stay here! Erika was fantastic, so warm and friendly!! She keeps the place spotless. The bedrooms, bathrooms, lounging areas and grounds are cozy and decorated lovely. The breakfast was excellent. It was at a great restaurant, Wicklow Heather, near by which they transported us to and from. We also ate supper there and that was wonderful... More

Have passed this so many times and finally stayed to get a early start hiking. Erika was a great hostess and looked after us from the moment we walked in the door. Popular with hunters during the season but Erika enssured we would not be disturbed by their unusual hours. Breakfast or dinner is at Wicklow Heather 5mins by car... More

I think troopers town lodge is the most beautiful B and B I've stayed in. The lodge is in immaculate condition, beautifully decorated too. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were so helpful. Fab surroundings and excellent value. Looking forward to my next visit

We were a party if 17 friends. We stayed for 1 night. Erika looked after us so well, so friendly and welcoming. House is spotless and decorated beautifully. Transport to the village was provided. Meal in The Wicklow Heather was superb and brilliant value. Service was excellent. Couldn't fault it.

This is a beautiful location slightly outside the village of Laragh. It was pet friendly which was the main attraction for us - the dog stayed in the room with us. Lovely staff, very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The family who own it also own another property in the village which is a little closer (if you don't... More

Erika, the manager of this B and B, endeared herself to us. She is an entire hotel staff rolled into one. From greeting us warmly, to assisting us with luggage, showing us to our spotless rooms which she prides herself in maintaining, she was remarkable. The rooms, although a bit on the small side are comfortable, well appointed and reasonably... More

We had two nights in this lovely B&B. The room was clean and comfortable and Erika, the Wonder Woman of Trooperstown Wood was great. She works so hard and is so friendly and accommodating. We had a meal at the Wicklow Heather and it was fabulous. Would definitely recommend!
