A great place to stay for a party of people with friendly and accommodating staff, clean and comfortable accommodation and a shuttle bus service to the Wicklow Heather restaurant, which has quality food and outstanding service. I would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I stayed at Trooperstown Lodge in September of 2012. We were blown away with the hospitality of the owners. We loved that we were given privacy when we needed and they were always available to answer questions as well. Coffee was readily available even in the wee hours of the morning when we would leave for the... More

Very pleasant. Nice and clean pleasant accommodation. Erica was very helpful and always asking if she could assist. Good supply of tea and coffee in lovely guest's sitting area with biscuits and cake when we arrived. Rooms adequate but not large. Breakfast is a 3 min drive away at the Wicklow Heather restaurant which is a bit inconvenient but the... More

An out of the way B&B with some odd quirks...not the least of which being that the breakfast is not actually served on site! You are to go to a restaurant in town - not a long drive, but not convenient if you want to roll out of bed and grab a bite before packing up for the day. The... More

The lodge situated at Laragh and not far away from Wicklow . We spent their two lovely evenings and nights. Erika(a cute Hungarian lady)gives the guests a homely feeling. The establishment is highly recommended.

We stayed last week (my wife and my parents) in chalet apartments in the village of Laragh, a small hamlet superbly located for visiting the surrounding wicklow national park. the accommodation good and allows a degree of self catering if you want it. we chose to eat in the adjoining restaurant which serves remarkable food and breakfasts worth waking up... We flew into Dublin, rented a car, and stayed here the first night. It was so restful and relaxing after a tiresome flight from the USA. The manager went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well-cared for. We rented an "apartment" located behind the building. It was perfect for these weary travelers. We still had access... More

A group if us came here for a hillwalking break. We stayed 2 nights and the accommodation was wonderful. A wonderful collection of books and wonderfully appointed rooms made it very comfortable. The house is set in a lovely garden with ample space to sit out and have a cup of tea or coffee which is always available. Erica gave... More

Trooperstown is a very nice little hotel in Laragh. We stayed here with a group of 14. The accomodations were clean and nice. The decor was really fun and the sitting rooms were comfortable. The grounds were very pleasant as well. Erica was a great host for us at the hotel and Elaine and Michelea at the restaurant. All felt... More

About 22 of us stayed here for a hen weekend - we had the whole house to ourselves. We were SO glad we picked this place. It was so cosy, with excellent accommodation. We could bring snacks and wine into the house and use the tea/coffee/hot chocolate provided. We could also use the kitchen there. There are 2 beautiful sitting... More
