Stayed here last night Saturday 7th! Didn't book in advance and just turned up on the day! From the moment we arrived, we were made feel so special! Staff were brilliant especially the reception girls!! Helped us out prior to our walk around the lakes! Our room 113 was excellent and extremely clean! Really good value, excellent shower and wonderful... More

We spent three nights in this hotel, and will surely never return. The location near Glendalough is wonderful, but the hotel is outdated, unwelcoming, and the staff seemed very indifferent to our presence! As you enter the front door of the hotel, you are welcomed by a "super hero" model with a machine gun pointing in your direction. The lobby... More

Myself and my husband stayed here last Saturday night. The room was lovely, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Brilliant band playing that night. All the staff, the receptionists, bar staff and the restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I left an item of mine in the hotel room when... More

Had a lovely 2 night stay in the hotel. Lovely large, comfortable bedrooms, Friendly and helpful staff (particularly the bar staff). Ideally located for touring the greater Wicklow area. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Would visit again. Frances.

We only stayed here for one night as we were here to see the national park area, but we were very impressed. It is in a great location for the lakes and scenery, looks like a traditional pub/ hotel with lots of bits and bobs to look at such as models of the titanic, brasses, pictures, paintings- there was even... We arranged for a late-night arrival and the friendly barkeep handed over keys for us. It's literally a two-minute drive to Glendalough and there's lots of parking. The hotel is very dated and rooms are up a large staircase (no lift). Other reviewers mention river views but our room looked out over the parking lot. Toilet pipes were very loud,... More

We were driving through the Wicklow Mountains and needed lunch, so we stopped in at the pub. The carvery was open and we were able to grab a bite to eat - the roast pork was delicious. If you're in the mountains, it's worth stopping in for a bite to eat.

… it would have to be like this! What a place! Wonderful interior (even if a bit aged, but that is what a pub has to look like). Traditional, busy, noisy. Friendly people (notably the owner who had a personal word with every guest!), prompt service. Food was offered as a buffet, hence the variety was huge. I could not... More

I booked this hotel as I was attending a wedding in the beautiful Glendalough. The day was a big rush so I didn't get to check in properly as it was nearly time for the meal when I got down. Because I was running behind I called the hotel and said I was down and asked what time there would... More

One of the best vegetable lasagnas I've ever eaten in Ireland. You should try it! The restaurant provides a various menu and the service is very professional and friendly. It's a nice atmosphere, one of the oldest pubs in Ireland.
