We had a good two night stay in Ballyknocken House last July. A comfortable bed, nicely decorated rooms, good wifi, free parking and a big garden outside the house. Unfortunately we were there on weekdays, as dinner is only being served in the weekends. We would have loved to have dinner here, because of the many recommanding reviews. Instead we... More

Celebrity chef Catherine Byrne Fulvio is a delightful host! She is full of energy and enthusiasm for what she does. This is a busy place, hosting outside events, full garden, B & B, and dinner tours. We were treated to an amazing dinner, fresh out of her garden, complete with soup that was decorated with the Irish flag in creams... More

We came here for dinner as part of a tour group. What an unexpected and delightful surprise. Catherine came on to the coach to welcome us. The entire property is a sensory experience, from the breathtaking views, extraordinarily beautiful property and the meal. I don't know where she got her wait-staff from, but they are among the best we saw... More

A lovely Victorian farmhouse, with period furnished rooms. Our room was very comfortable, with an exceptional bath, in which you could almost lose yourself it was so long. Good food, especially our Friday night dinner. Above all was the personality of Sharon as front of house, and Catherine who owns the business, both of whom exude their love for the... More

I came to stay here prior to going to the cooking school the next day. We were greeted with hot tea & a fire in the living room with freshly made cookies. The house was a bit cool, but quaint with the fires. The grounds are gorgeous, looking into the hills with all the sheep & seeing all the freshly... More

My mother and I stayed here over the Easter weekend for a night and we truly loved every minute of it from start to finish. We'd left home early that morning and toured around Wicklow. I didn't know about TripAdvisor in 2007 when I visited Ballyknocken, so this is a belated review. I hope that's OK for the Tripadvisor Powers That Be! I had the most amazing time there and still think about my weekend there to this day. The place was unbelievably cozy and relaxing, and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking. Catherine Fulvio and... More
