I stayed for one Sunday night in September when on a hill walking holiday. The single room, although clean with a good ensuite, was tiny. That was disappointing as the hotel was not full and I felt they could easily have allocated a bigger room. The hotel manager was helpful in that he offered to give two of us a... More

...is the lovely Glendalough Hotel. While it is not a modern looking place, it is just the sort of spot you want to find after the beautful drive south from Dublin. Glendalough is a mountain lake and is a beautiful spot in itself...hiking through the park and around the lake, and exploring the monastic ruins makes for a lovely day.... More

Stayed in the Glendalough hotel last week on a business trip. Single room at 50euro b&b was great value but the room and bed were small. That said the room was warm and the shower hot. Breakfast was good. Not a huge buffet but a good fry. Bar food is very good. Good price for good portions.staff were friendly all... More

The hotels in the middle of the Wicklow mountains and fits perfectly into the great environment. You can start for hiking or simply visiting the old celtic grounds. It is an historic style hotel and also the rooms reflect it but everything is well maintained. Service and food is great and you can spend very enjoyable evenings after a great... More

I really enjoyed a mid week stay here recently. Granted this is not one of the newer 4 star boom hotels.. no swimming pools, gym, SPA or hot stone seaweed facial rubs... but what the hotel lacks in these facilities it more than makes up for in terms of character, location and staff. The hotel is located literally across the... More

I have stayed there several times in the past, for weeks at a time, and loved it. The hiking may be the best in Ireland. I have traveled most of the Irish coast; and Glendalough and Donegal are my favorites. There was a lovely old woman named Mary who worked at the hotel, and is no longer with us. I... More

Ireland has history everywhere but nowhere more than at Glendalough. It is apparently one of the most visited locations by tourists. We arrived mid-afternoon, mid-summer to find the place almost over-run with bus tours and tourists. Glendalough Hotel is the only accommodation at this site where the hermit Kevin lived "between the two lakes". We checked the hotel to find... More

Recently enjoyed a one night weekend stay here and just had to write a review. The hotel staff are fantastic, so helpful and obliging. Without doubt the highlight of the stay though was the food. We dined in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and the food was incredible. The duck spring rolls are awesome!! The breakfast the next morning... More

I picked this hotel for its central location close to the hiking trails in the wicklow mountains of Ireland. Being at the grounds of the national Park offers you a good opportunity to explore the beautiful lake area. My single room was clean, the bed was comfy, pillows were perfectly suitable for my chronically aching neck and the bathroom was... More

Thought the staff was quite friendly, the hotel is showing it's age and is in need of some updates. I would consider looking around for a B & B in the area as there are very few choices for accommodations in the village.
