Stayed here to attend a friends birthday. I had read some reviews prior to booking the hotel and was little concerned with some of the comments. I asked for a suite and was delighted with the accommodation. The room was bright, clean and the bed was very comfortable. After a very pleasant walk around the adjacent monastic settlement we ate in... More

Myself and my better half, after being to the lough, decided to eat here on a Saturday. As it was not overly busy, we easily got a table and ordered our food. Our starters were fresh and piping hot. Unfortunately the seafood chowder was quite watery with minimal pieces of fish and the brie was overtaken by the salad that... More

We stayed here on the 1st of feb 2014 -we had 1 family room and 1 double- the family room was a bit dated and the wallpaper and paint could do with a touch up- peeling off, damp etc- room was spacious and the shower was lovely and the bed comfy so it wouldn't take much to do the smaller... More

The location of this hotel could not be more perfect. It's right next to the Glendalough Monastic Site and visitor centre and there's also a beautiful nature walk. It therefore has a lot of coaches visiting. Breakfast was fine as was dinner, although meals were pricey (like anywhere where the Euro is concerned) but they did have child options which... More

We went there for our anniversary as we were looking for something close to dublin with something to do. The hotel is average, staff were very friendly. We had a meal deal with the hotel, the diner was not really special. I would not recommend at all the goat tart starter as it was just a huge slice of goat... More

We are a Dublin family who wanted somewhere close to Dublin but could enjoy the local trails and have some family time, we booked at short notice as I wanted the weather to line up. This hotel didnt disappoint, the location is superb and puts you at the starting point for the well marked trails in the area. The staff... More

The setting for this hotel is beautiful. Absolutely perfect for seeing St Kevin's church and the lough. However, there is a real run down feeling about the rooms. The bar and bistro seemed very nice and welcoming. The rooms were so disappointing. The carpets are worn through, the tiles are chipped, the bathroom hair dryer had its pipe ripped out... More

Myself and my boyfriend decided to take the bus from Dublin to Glendalough one the days. We were told that we would have 4 hours before having to get the bus back to Dublin.
