We recently had our wedding in the lovely Glendalough Hotel. We really can't say enough nice things about the hotel and the staff. The location was fantastic, the staff were so friendly and helpful the whole way through. Even though we had a little rain on the day it didn't dampen our spirits! A special thanks to Sinead who looked... More

booked this hotel by mistake ! Glad I did ,not really a hotel for business traveller as a bit out of the way ,set in beautiful surroundings a perfect place for a break with or without kids as seems plenty of outdoor activities around for them. Met at reception by a bubbly smiling young receptionist who was there until late... More

We were back at the Glendalough hotel for our one year anniversary dinner as we had our wedding there last year. Alan really looked after us and it was great to be back and see the hotel again after we had such a good day there. The Bar and Lounge areas have been very tastefully renovated since last year. The... More

The beautiful location and a local monopoly should make this hotel very profitable in season but it is let down by several factors: whilst the service is mainly friendly and obliging, most staff require better training and more professional skills; the ground floor layout is complex with different sometimes conflicting uses; the variety of different customer groups makes control and... Really terrible customer service at the restaurant today, as an Irish person I came away feeling embarassed that tourists would experience the same level of abysmal service and think it a reflection of our country. Unprofessional, unorganised and slow staff, the place was dirty, the food was mediocre. Unable to bring out a cup to go with a pot of... More

The hotel was great. I had a view of the stream bubbling by, and a flower covered bridge. It was really a beautiful place to spend the night in the mountains. The bathroom was large and clean, and the hotel itself is quite large. The staff were freindly.

nice location, food is really good, fairly good prices, but the service was terrible, not enough staff to serve the customers and food takes to long to be served, would recommend the restaurant for visitors to the area but if you want to order food, arrive early to order food, we asked 3 different waiters for information about food and... The Glendalough Hotel is located within the Wicklow National Park in a beautiful setting. However the Hotel lets itself down. Issues are: -our room smelt strongly of tobacco smell when we first arrived even though signs everywhere no smoking. - Restaurant and Bistro has extremely poor service; so much so that we ate elsewhere in the evenings. Abrupt and poorly... More

charming hotel on excellent location. Friendly reception and restaurant staf. They take things very relaxed, but there is no reason to hurry here, just go with the flow. Red carpets are all over the place giving it a characteristic charming touch. Modern times are far away. The rooms have the necessary comfort. Ideal to stay here one or two nights.... More

Had family down from Dublin for the long weekend so reserved a table for the evening of the 30th of May for a party of eight. I knew the hotel had undergone recent renovations and I was keen to check it out as we live about ten miles away so its quite local for us. When we arrived the place... More
