I had a one night stay in the hotel valentines weekend and it was great. The hotel was clean, tidy and cosy. Our room had a balcony with incredible views. Our five course dinner was amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great value for money.

Really enjoyed my stay here at the Glendalough Hotel. The staff were really friendly, felt like I was at home. Highly recommended. Great area for walks and outdoor activities. The hotel is situated right across the road from the famous Monastic Tower.

We had two wraps, two cappuccinos, a diet coke and a bottled beer. €32 seems a little expensive to me but maybe I am out of touch. The wraps were nice but only a few leaves for garnish, and €9 each. Cappuccinos €3 each. I noticed that the curry on the lunch menu was €18 or €19 and soup is... More

This is a country hotel, not a luxury hotel. So the frills many people expect from a new building might not be there. But the room was clean and comfortable, and there are many public areas for relaxing if you are traveling in a group or want to take your time. For me, staying here was all about the location.... Waited 20 minutes in the dreary 70s decor restaurant because there was only one waitress on duty to serve 15 tables. However she did come over to us when we stood up and began to leave so we told her that it was unfair that she should be expected to serve us given that she was rushed off her feet.... More

The hotel itself is a little dated. The beds are old so is the Tv and there were places were the carpets were coming up but, in all honesty you are not there for the hotel. You are there because the location is ideal for this magical area. Get out and enjoy the scenery, the walks and take lots of... More

Hotel is in the centre of everything to do with this historic site, some of the room's could do with an up date. the surrounding area is full of other tourists and hikers. Don't be shy about eating at the pub up the road. overall we ate well slept well and enjoyed the evenings.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights last weekend. The location is indescribable - tranquil and relaxing. A real gem in the valley. Upon arrival the exterior of the hotel looked quite good but upon entering it was obvious it was in need of re-furbishing. When we entered our room, this was confirmed to us. Bedspreads and curtains didn't... More
