The hotel is based beside/in Glendalough National Park. A stream flows past the front door and forested mountains surround, providing the best landscape that I have ever stayed in. We stayed as part of a one night deal - accommodation and food. When we arrived, the computer system was down. Because check-in took so long the receptionist placed us in... More

I stayed here for one night and it was a lovely stay. It is a very peaceful and tranquil hotel, with beautiful surroundings. There was few restaurants nearby but if you are looking to escape city madness then this is the spot! I hope to return again in the very near future!

Hi all I'll start by saying that Glendalough national Park Is maybe one of the most Stunning places in Ireland. Fantastic Views and beautiful wildlife. Is an awesome location to have a nice walk in The Irish nature. But when it comes down to spend the night there, the options are quite limited... Me and my partner decided to spend... More

It was a bank holiday Monday, the food area was either under-staffed or mis-staffed, I feel it was the latter. It wasn't that busy but the staff didn't seem to be up to the gig, the food was average and a over priced. We will be staying clear next time.

Went to Glendalough Hotel for lunch on Saturday, 20th July. Very disappointed. They advertised Seafood Chowder to include shrimps, mussels + various seafood. What we got was a very watery, greasy bowl of soup with salmon + scraps of some other fish, carp or perch. There wasn't a shrimp or mussel in sight. The hotel should serve up what they... More

We stopped here for a welcome pint of Guinness and an ice cream after a hard day's walking. You can see that the hotel could do with being updated a bit, but the staff were very friendly and attentive and the location is really special.

Stopped on a tour of the cemetary and lakes and ended up having drinks after a walk to the stunning lakes and through the cemetary with headstones dating back to 1300's. Babbling streams with river rock bottoms and clear water, rock churches dating back 700 years, a simple way of life that I was able to slip into if only... More

As soon as you arrive to this beautiful county you are blown away by the vistas at every turn. The Glendalough hotel does not dissappoint, view 360 views in every room you can see the surrounding natural beauty at all times. The hotel entrance is lovely and really takes advantage of the beautiful streams, with a picturesque bridge placed ontop... More

Steps outside this hotel, through the arches of a beautiful medieval gateway are the ruins of buildings that have survived since the 10th century clustered among a stunning natural setting now crossed with wooded trails. There aren't many places where you can wander under the stars in a place where Vikings have fought and people have actively studied the word... More
