We took a mid-week break under the ‘over 55’s’ package which worked out at €55 per night each for Dinner Bed & Breakfast, absolutely fantastic value. The hotel is situated in idyllic surrounds at the foot of the mountains with accompanying beautiful gardens. Our room was spacious and well decorated, period furniture and the added touches of Expresso machine and... More

I've thought long and hard about The Glenview before writing this. We stayed four nights and got a very good deal. The other plusses were definitely the fabulous setting, location within easy reach of both sea and Dublin city and the front of house staff were first class and couldn't be faulted. So, where did the Glenview fall short? Most... More

We stayed in The Glenview for 2 nights mid April. We had intended to only stay for 1 night but when we got there and saw the gorgeous setting and great service we received we stayed for another night. The double room was lovely and had a wonderful view of the gardens and scenery. We took the woodland walk which... More

Food was nice for dinner & passable for breakfast. Very ordinary breakfast, nothing special there at all. Staff were very friendly in reception and dining room. Only for them it wouldn't have been a great stay. The family room was not as the one on the website. Ours was yet to be refurbished apparently and it definitely needed it! Dated,... More

We stayed over the Easter weekend. The hotel was extremely busy and at times we thought we'd landed in a "creche with a view", such was the seemingly constant noise from the children who were "swarming" everywhere. But of course that was families quite rightly taking advantage of the holiday weekend -and why not? That was us in days gone by. A... More

We stayed in the Glenview in April during a relatively quiet time. We were very impressed by the rooms and the warm welcome of the staff. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed travelling around from this central location.

If you are looking for a family-friendly hotel easily located off of the M11 roadway, this is an ideal location, Also conveniently located and close to the Bray or Greystone train stations (Dublin Area Rapid Transit or DART) for a quick ride into Dublin. Also, venture uphill, up the narrow Red Lane, for a hike up Sugarloaf and the Wicklow... More

Last week we got married here in the Glenview and it was fairytale stuff really. The ceremony was held outside in the garden in the beautiful surrounds of the Glen of the Downs in Co. Wicklow. The staff were so welcoming, so courteous and so professional the whole way through. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Glenview to... More
