We got married in Rathsallagh this summer and we are still receiving compliments on our choice of venue. The service provided by Mags, Mary and their bar and waiting staff was excellent. The food was one of the highlights of the whole day, and people have remarked that it was one of the nicest meals, let alone wedding dinners, that... More

Mags , Mary, Patricia, Gillian, Jennifer and all the team here are so delighted that your wedding day was such a success and that you have honored them all with a mention here on TA. It was a great pleasure to look after you and all of your guests. A little bit of news , Catherine has been nominated by... More

I'm reviewing this some time after our stay as I've been meaning to do this for a while, as I feel this place deserves credit for the exceptional stay we had there. Also, we stayed on a citydeal offer that was excellent value and it annoyed me to read one or two negative reviews from people who had stayed on... More

I was a guest at a wedding in early October and most of the party stayed there. It was truly magical, I liked getting lost in all the pokey rooms filled with old photos and antique furniture. I work for a country lodge in Connemara and I love old world meets new luxury. The father of the groom is a... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review, we are delighted you enjoyed Rathsallagh. As you found exploring the place can be fun, we have 29 rooms here but all are individually decorated and named. Places like Rathsallagh still exist across the county a lot of them under the banner of Irelands Blue Book, although as you probably... More

I have just returned from the best weekend and wedding I have ever been to. My brother got married at Rathsallagh on Friday and I have NEVER been to wedding that can compare. The venue, setting, staff, food and accomodation are faultless. If you are considering getting married here then anywhere else will just be settling for second best. It... More

What can we say only thank you so much, what an incredible review. Its now proudly posted on our staff notice boards and every one who reads it is beaming from ear to ear. You have no idea what a review like that does for morale. Its hard to get it 100% right 100% of the time, and we are... More

The buildings in Rathsallagh are wonderful as are the huge surroundings and the walled gardens, courtyards, golf course and gigantic ancient trees were all really beautiful. The breakfast was the best I have ever had in any hotel or other accommodation (I can see why they have won awards for it). They offered fresh fruit juices (not the stuff out... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a really lovely review. We are delighted you enjoyed breakfast, and as you noted having our own free range hens helps. In addition my Mother makes all the preserves ( jams, marmalades etc ) and we have our own honey as well – great with the stewed rhubarb and natural yogurt. Sorry... More

I recently spent a evening and night there for a family members wedding. I really enjoyed the day and as well as all the standard points to review which were all very good, it’s the aspects of small things that I found compelling on this visit. On pulling in to the courtyard to park we were greeted by a very... More

From the moment we drove through the old stone archway, climbed out of the car on the gravel courtyard, smelt the turf fires and looked at the ivy clad walls, I fell in love with Rathsallagh House. There is something really, really special about this place. We sat beside the fire in one of the little sitting rooms and had... More

We have just spent 3 nights at Rathsallagh and hope to go back next year. This is a hotel that really does live up to the title of a country house hotel. Very relaxed, lovely lounges with fires, books and papers everywhere, very friendly staff all set in beautiful park-land with a great golf course literally at the bottom of... More

We recently got married in Rathsallagh House, holding the blessing in the walled garden and staying for 3 nights mid-week. From start to finish, it was the most wonderful experience. Whilst we had the good fortune of some decent weather, we were far more fortunate to have selected Rathsallagh House as our wedding venue. For three days, we, along with... More
