Stayed here for 2 nights. The setting is second to none, really spectacular. The place was just so relaxing, I sat for hours in front of the open turf fire having some drinks and reading. The food is unbelievable, hands down the nicest I've ever had. Can't wait to return.

Stayed here last week with my family for my 60th Birthday. This is everything a Country House Hotel should be. Super comfortable, fantastic food. But the atmosphere here is the key to a perfect stay. The staff there could not be more helpful or friendly.Nothing was too much trouble. The weather wasnt great but we didnt mind sitting in the... More

Superb friendly and efficient staff. Rooms without fault (TVs elderly but not even needed in this relaxed haven). Superb breakfast. Excellent dinner (and wine) - at reasonable prices. Recommended without reservation.

Thank you for your super all-star review. You are correct some of the TV’s are quite old fashioned, but we are gradually replacing them with the latest flat screens. We have just completed our wi fi upgrade so all our guests now have free and uncontended wi fi access up to 50mbs . Please do come back and see us... More

We arrived via sat.nav since we came off the motorway to head cross country. The lovely drive up to the house was a good sign and pulled up into a gravel courtyard. A series of old one story buildings set in beautiful ivy coated walls disappeared around corners and joined into 2 story buildings made it fascinating to discover later.... More

Thank you for a most wonderful and detailed review. Tom Crean Antarctic Explorer was indeed a fantastic play written and performed by Aidan Dooley. Aidan has won awards across the World for this one man show and we were so lucky to have him at Rathsallagh. The House was full for the week as you found out, and these guests... More

Recently attended a wedding here and stayed at this beautiful hotel for a few days. Could not fault one thing! Had a lovely greeting with the owner upon arriving and then was shown to our room. We attended a wedding here and because the weather was so good it really made a big difference and we saw Rathsallagh House at it's best. It is a shame the golf course is closed and I wonder why that is because it would be a lovely place to play golf. The hotel itself is an old house of the... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a lovely review. Yes it is a pity re the Golf Couse. Rathsallagh Golf Club Plc., is a separate entity to Rathsallagh House Ltd., Although the House with its own lands has access across the Golf course etc. The course was sold in April 2014, apparently however there have been difficulties with... A wonderful week end retreat in February. The room was spacious and the bathroom luxury itself. Breakfast as always was a memorable experience. A free Spanish wine tasting event on Friday evening before dinner was very sociable with tasty nibbles and good company. Dinner itself was outstanding and the service was excellent throughout. Our only complaint at the end of... More

Thank you so much for a lovely review. The Spanish wine tasting night was a bit of fun and we all enjoyed it. Thank you for you very kind review. It’s so lovely to have people to stay who know their food and can appreciate it. The kitchen team were only thrilled to have been commended and of course there is the knock on effect to our loyal and local suppliers. Thank you again and please do come back and see us very...
