Lovely B&B set in beautiful surroundings, just 20 minutes away from Glendalough. We arrived in the evening after having spent the day walking in the Wicklow mountains. Catriona and Shane are perfect hosts - very friendly and welcoming, offering good advice and taking care of our restaurant reservation. Tea or coffee with homemade cakes offered upon arrival. Delicious homemade breakfast... More

This is really a home from home. Set in very beautiful surroundings, this is a perfect place to get away from it all. The room was warm and spacious with very comfortable beds, and there is also a lovely lounge downstairs with comfortable sofas and a fire. The breakfast surpassed expectations. Overall, a fantastic place to stay, which we have... More

We felt very welcome and at home at Ashton House. Fresh coffe/tea and cake on arrival, Catriona is a great host. The whole place is spotless! The house is right by the meeting of the waters, we had a room overlooking the river, which was great. We had a good sleep. Breakfast was tasty and homemade. The only thing i... More

Traveled from County Cavan to Glendalough and stayed in Ashton House at the Meeting of the Waters. This B&B is really lovely, recently updated, bathrooms large and very nice. Room size was fine, looked out onto the river which in the morning was just brilliant. Breakfast was delicious (loved the tomato relish, I talked about it several times the rest... More

Stayed here for 2 nights when attending a wedding in the area, from arrival to departure Catriona and Shane couldn't do enough for us. The room was clean spacious and comfortable, the house itself is in a beautiful location and is a great base to explore the region. Breakfast cooked fresh and plenty of choice. Ashton house was our first stop in Ireland and it was wonderful. Catriona greeted us with warm tea and cookies. She gave us a great overview of the area and recommendations. The property is gorgeous and Meeting of the Waters is a very special spot in Ireland. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Catriona... More

Stayed for one night, good room, good bed, good breakfast, good hosts, struggling to find more to say. Agree with all the other comments and I probably had the best porridge I have ever eaten for breakfast. I wish we could have stayed longer and we will be back.

Lovely friendly owners and the house itself is very luxurious. Cooked breakfast is very tasty (homemade rhubarb and vanilla jam is gorgeous) and the setting is so calm and peaceful. Thank you very much for accommodating us on the first night of our round Ireland bike trip.
